People often mistake winners who are competitive for carnts that are arrogant.

I recall how many opposition fans thought our players in the early 2000s were arrogant pricks, in fact the club was viewed that way.

Ultra competitive people often appear abrasive and rude, cos they are single minded and have a focused attitude.

The Storm is a silly example to use. Every point they score stems from 3 players, the other 14 are window dressing. Take those 3 out of the Storm I wonder how much we'd be talking Bellemy up?

Smith has been known to rant and rave as well. He's been doing a bit of that lately.

But there's a huge difference between the two. One is held in the highest regard & respect by his players, the other....

Yet Bellamy on the other hand - who has had great success and wisely acknowledged as the best current coach alongside Bennett - he's criticized because he's got the big 3 players.

I haven't looked at the stats but I'm pretty sure that when Bellamy took over the storm, they were terrible & he not only immediately turned them around but he kept them up in semi final footy year after year when no one even had hardly heard of cam smith or slater etc. That's the thing about good coaches - its about getting consistently good & IMPROVED performances the more time that they are in charge.

I then added the rest in reply to how many supporters on here keep saying we are young & rebuilding our team.

Your the man fred perfectly said... I think Bellamy then Hasler are the best in my eyes because they both built premiership winning teams and creates styles of play that are copied.

Just to remind you Bennett said recently when interviewed that he wanted Newcastle to build a culture like the Storm's. So the coach you rate the best is trying to copy Bellamy. Leave it at that.

Um, I was so very proud of the team for making the 2010 Grand Final. There is no shame in being a runner up. Many players never get to play in a grand final at this level, let alone win one. That doesn't automatically mean they were not champions, talented, skillful or high achievers. No wonder so many kids today think they are failures if they don't automatically bring home straight A's from school. Some of you on here demand perfection each and every time. That is totally unrealistic.

But our kid Sydney Rooster continually brings home D's from school. Should we be happy with that?

Since Smith Slater & Cronk were nobodies before Bellamy developed them who were these accounting tools he had at his disposal back in 2004 2005.

Bellamy went to Melbourne in 2003 who were going nowhere & developed 20 21 YO over 3 years to be in a GF & the following year & the following year.
The big 3 were not established players they were nobodies that Craig Bellamy developed & with that he has built a culture that those guys flurish under. The big 3 are not behind the culture Bellamy is.

The guys family lives in Brisbane he dedicates his life to the Storm. More than likely right now he is working on things for this weekends game that he will desperately want to win SOO stars or not.
