  • What Smith Wanted

Anasta not re-signed when last off contract

Carney not playing start of 2011 until he got hmslef right

A couple of players he wanted to recruit

    there is more

    OVERRULED

He isnt 'in charge', no coach will be until things change here

Bellamy/Bennett/Hasler all want complete control, they wouldnt take a man in suit meddling in football matters

Herein lies one of the major problems with our club

Change is needed, same people wielding the same power to feed their egos

Change will not be bad , most other clubs have gone through significant change EXCEPT US

How do we oust the board? its impossible im lead to believe

Some accurate insight finally - thank you.

We have a top coach who has had his hands tied unfortunately.

The sack the coachers are boring me.

He's a good coach with a mediocre squad learning the ropes.

            Deal with it.

              Thanks Redrooster.
It's great to add some balance against the anti-Smith tirade.

This is an interesting post. There is no doubt that the Roosters generally do very well in the junior comps. For a team that has virtually no junior base that is quite an acheivement. Credit must go to the recruiting staff and Mr. Politis on that front. We have had a number of promising juniors in our ranks during the last decade and it makes me a little bitter watching some of them kick on with other clubs. We seem to have a problem developing that potential for use at our joint. A club in our position needs to get that aspect right. I believe that the coaches are more responsible for progression than the administration. We have future superstars in our squad, the challenge for us is to turn them into the best players they can possibly be, while being proud to be playing for us. Boyd Cordner is turning into a perfect example of what I mean. A shining light on Monday night. He is ready to kick on, no doubt. What I do doubt is whether any of these things that Smith wanted would have made that much of a difference to our performance on the field.

Good coaches are also premiership winning coaches, especially ones that have had some of the best teams in the modern era under their wing and have had as much experience as BS. I mean winning the comp IS what they get the big bucks for right?

Let's give him a contract extension, he deserves it. I'm sure the players would be happy about that.

I can also say Smith wanted Anasta to move to the Tiger as soon as he signed with them, but unfortunately they did not have cap space. I am not a Smith fan too, but got to applaud the man for that.

This could also be the reason why Anasta is playing like the way he is coz he knows we didnt want him, so why bother ! I say get rid of the carrrnt now, just drop him.

                              Why am I not surprised?
We all witnessed his dummy spitting last year and the body language between the coach at press interviews.
This is only a small part of what is/has actually transpired.
Surprised that Smith hasn't aged as much as Quasimodo.

And yep. Draw a line in the sand.
Out on the full, princess. Off you go.
                              A coach's nightmare.
