  • Odds vs Storm

Storm will be hard to beat but a lot of confidence after tonight’s win. Massive difference in odds between us and the storm thanks to Sportsbet. To be expected I suppose but some juicy odds for the Roosters.

    Storm $1.30
    Roosters $3.55

No reason whatsoever that they can't win. Melbourne deserved strong favourites, but the Chooks are every chance if they pullup well after this game, play to their strengths next week and don't get penalised out of the game.

IMO Manly didn't make us pay for our early drop ball. Melbourne will. That's the only thing that we need to clean up from this game.

We gained a lot of confidence tonight. Time to destroy the hoodoo by beating the Storm and Panthers back-to-back.

All the pressure is on them. Manu found some form tonight. Sandon's confidence should now be sky high. I'm quietly confident that we can cause an upset.

          Hopefully Atkins is in charge.

Damn that try was good!!! No disrespect to Hughes (who's now a highly accomplished half, something I'm not questioning) but while in our systems he hardly stood out as a future Dally M halfback. He's not invincible, nor is the rest of the Storm's roster.

IMO with the right gameplan, our team can win. It doesn't matter what the pundits/odds say (that betting dude + the weirdos from betting companies who pop-up in podcasts with weird 'jokes' and zero footy IQ because bookies are sponsoring the poddie) can get faaaarked. They're less useful / knowledgable than Tom Waterhouse as he took their money and ran!!!

The reality with sport is that any team can win on the day. Any fan who disagrees is a questionable fan at best.

Melbourne are on a whole different level to Manly.

For us its always about discipline & completion. If we get that right, like we did tonight, we have the team to beat anyone, including Penrith.

It’s a chance for redemption for the team and coach to go out and win against the Storm. Very unlikely but it would be awesome to get a rematch against our nemesis in a GF.

one reason you want the week off at this time of year is cos playing the extra game can cause injuries and suspensions. we've avoided that and got a bit of momentum to boot. we're a realistic chance to win

We can beat Melbourne in the forwards.

That's where it starts and the game will be won or lost. Our pack needs to be so aggressive! Line speed needs to be relentless until they buckle. The Storm's spine is unstoppable once their pack get's a roll on. Bellamy's instruction will be the same to his forwards. We can do it!
