My only comment is that I watched Wicked (the stage play) the other night. Initially critics said that while all the acting was top notch, the story was pretty ordinary and none of the songs were memorable. Then... the lesbian community decided it was all about them. Result? The volume is now ear piercingly high (think high-pitched female voices constantly peaking out the levels on the theatre's soundboard) and certain points of the play that the lesbian community has decided are all about them result in long, standing ovations. This includes a part where the witch says 'I am wicked' and another where she says she is 'defying gravity'. There's one near the end about the two lead characters being besties despite their differences... I will admit I had my ears firmly covered for all 3 (and not as a protest, my ears were being tortured by the loud, squeaky volume of the whole thing - I was protecting my eardrums from rupturing!)
Hilariously the theatre did this whole feminist flex of having a single male bathroom (which was the smallest in the venue and that wing had a larger female bathroom as well). Since 99% of the audience were females / lesbians there were these huuuuge lines of women during the interval whereas I just ducked in quickly with my son, while being stared at for my obvious 'male privilege' by hoards of lesbians (they had every other bathroom and still complained!!! Mad flex and for some people that's their thing. I just wanted to do a slash and wasn't giddy on 10 bottles of chick drinks so it was a rather mundane process).
So does Wicked s*ck? Well no. It's one of the best selling stage plays ever so the numbers speak for themselves now (hence why we went to see it... popular and kid friendly). It's no chance of being canned and there's people going back to watch it 30-40 times, enjoying each viewing more than the previous, while finding deeper nuances...etc. If I'm to have my 2c... Matilda was my pick of the two kid friendly stage plays we watched by far, but that's just my privately held opinion.
How does it relate to the footy? Well. In short... some things just aren't for you! Sometimes we just need to move on and accept there's a different target audience. NRLW? I watch it as it's another chance for Easts to win a premiership. The NRL team is my main interest but it doesn't hurt me seeing the NRLW develop as a product.
Dunno why it triggers people. Watch it... if you don't like it then no need to tell us every second day. Have your say and then move on
FWIW, the women's NRL is fine with me, but giving it equal coverage on the NRL site is reaching. As is having a women's NRL "hall of fame". LOL.
No problem at all with NRLW being on the main site and the Women players inducted into the NRL Hall of Fame are all Australian Jillaroo Rep Players. 15 tests for the Australia is the lowest number played and the highest 33 tests - so not current players
Haven't watched a single game other than that rigged GF which the Hens won Vs that Saint Merge bloke. Better things to do than watch some amateurs pretend to be professionals in some woke political gimmick.
Complete waste of time and resources,

I can at least understand this argument, there's no doubt that some of the content and promotion crosses over and for those who just want to follow the Men's game simply can't avoid it.

Complete waste of time and resources,
This just makes no sense, there's nothing woke about growing your business. To the current administrations credit they have been very good at growing the game. New club sides Queensland, WA & soon to be NZ. Record crowds, record viewership numbers and a WNRL competition that rates very well for KAYO in time slots the game hasn't previously been able to put on content.
For some perspective James Tedesco is our most followed player on instagram, the second most is Izzy Kelly, then Joey Manu, then Jess Sergis...
From a commercial sense you would have to be absolutely insane not to want to play in this area. It's extra eyes and extra revenue and can be done with an economy of scale as the infrastructure already exists.
You also can’t tell me the game wasn’t worth watching for its first 80-90years of existence because not all the players were full time professionals? Come on...

Your Souffs are desperate to field a side though so will you follow them or not ?
