Officiall Match Day Thread: Roosters v Storm

Wow I’m so pumped for tonight. Have hardly slept a wink this week. It’s a perfect set up for us. Recent history shows we struggle against the top two. This premiership will be so special after we beat them both to claim the title and send off the greatest Roosters forward of the current era and his mates in style.

We are superior in the forwards to Melbourne. If we show up and play to our ability we will win this game comfortably. Controlled aggression and as Victor would say, “violence” is key. We need to start fast and exert our authority.

Melbourne will kick well and kick deep. Our back three and centres all need to fight like mongrels to earn us good field position and then the forwards need to do their thing, run hard and take no prisoners.

I’m supremely confident if we do our thing we are off to the big dance. I can’t wait to beat Melbourne in Melbourne.

Going to be a long day waiting for kick-off. Every hour will feel like two. I’ll be flying out of Sydney at 1pm. Can’t wait to get there and support the boys.

Im absolutly loving this. I have noticed the fox and nrl360 bias against us continues. Nrl360 just showed 25 mins of the riff v nicko and 15 mins of pongas dads stuff up. Jwh had a 3 minute exposure on how good he is but nothing. I mean nothing about us. Loving slipping under the radar for the ambush.

My love for this team desperately wants them to prove my brain wrong and the first time in a long time knock off either the Storm or Panthers in a consequential game, realistically I have serious doubts whether this team has the football resilience to stand up to the grit of the Storm.

There's been quite a bit of this lately. It's probably the only way to combat them slowing the ruck and being offside.

Same sentiments as you have. My brain can’t see us winning but there is always that chance. If we somehow make the GF then anything is possible.
