A more ruthless call needed to be made which perhaps lets the club get in earlier to get a player like Luai.
That being said his grand final performance in 2018 is the stuff of legend. I will never forget being there that night and watching us and how good it felt. Luke will always be a great of our club.

I’d argue he won us last week’s final and this year’s Anzac Day game on the first tackle of each, simply through being a hard bastard that scared the shit out of the opposition.

Great tribute and thread Eggspert.
These guys certainly prove the falsehood that says you are only as good as your last game. Two champions and one was on the verge.
JWH - a loyal, brutal and passionate warrior who it was our clubs privilege that he called us his home. One of the best props of the modern era who changed games and training sessions with his dominant presence and lionheart. What a man. Pure inspiration and strength. When a teammate stood beside him they felt stronger, better and safe. A throwback to a bygone era when men were tough and uncompromising and a lot less PC. Off the field he was natures gentleman. Loved by all, even those that were supposed to hate him. We honour you JWH, one of a kind.
Keary - the littlest champ. The influence that the cheeky leprechaun had on this club during his time here cannot be overstated. A quality role model on and off the field who grew to love this club, and it became reciprocal. Written off years ago as too small and "one head knock away" Kez worked his ass off physically and mentally to get back to the game and club he loved. 3 years on he has hardly missed a game. That's dedication and commitment. Triple GF winner, CC medallist and the real organiser of this team. We were truly blessed the day he walked from the dark to the light. We luv ya Kez.
Joey - rated the best centre in the game at one point. Joey has that ridiculously easy going skillset that mere mortals can't emulate. He grew up here in footy terms. Again one of the nicest guys to grace the paddock, but also great strength when needed. Only used what he had to, always felt he kept energy and power in reserve. You think Joey Manu, you think class. We will miss you mate.
We can't really replace JWH and Kez, both unique champions in their own right But keep digging to find the next iteration Roosters. If we can go close, things are gonna be ok.#We Stand with ourJewish community#

Manu, I feel mentally checked out after signing with Yawnion and his hand injury.....
Sitili is just not that good and was never rated as a star in the wider NRL community.....
Jared, we will miss him next year, he was not on the field much this year but his presence around the club must have spurred on our young pups at times. When he left the field after 20 our forwards got totally owned by the Storm. We lack an experienced Alpha prop next year, Collins is just not that sort of player imo, I hope I am wrong.....
Jojo was starting to show what all the fuss was about when he was a junior, I feel if he played next year he would have been in the top 5 centres in the game, he was our best in the last month.....
Keary, well he went on probably 2 seasons too long, if we had a bigger half or 5/8th he may have thrived but he was a reluctant play maker, more a creative type of player.......Originally posted by Bondi Boy
Pathetic!
What a rabble we are.
Oh well, maybe next year

Perhaps his coin is better spent elsewhere in the team?
and he checked out this year
was doing fine to injury
get him back motivated and it will be a different story
