Robbo used to be all about D but now teams regularly score 30-40 points against us and many of the tries are so soft not even a hand being laid on them. We are so lazy in defense now.

For some reason we’ve never adjusted defensively since the garbage 6 again rule was introduced..

Prior to that rule we were like a machine defensively,but now we just seem to roll over when things get tough!

Leniu is a myth when he starts or plays extended minutes. It was on show at the Panthers and looks the same with us

Marky N seems to be a natural footballer based on the little I've seen. I would certainly try him on the wing instead of Young who doesn't seem to have any football sense at all. A fast run down the sideline seems to be all he can do. But maybe Robbo will turn him into a center.

I've noticed the last few weeks that our contact in defence is soft. Storm and Penrith are hitting hard and putting ball carrier on the ground quicker than us but they limit our meters. We wrap around their shoulders and dance with them. The ball carrier often makes good meters, gets an offload away or breaks the tackle. We give away a lot of ground in each set of 6 so we are on the backfoot and start getting set restarts against us. Its not so bad against the weaker sides but we are dominated by the good sides.

Robbo’s line of waiting in defence with no line speed movement at all is the same defence tactic under the old rules. We have a new attack coach as evident of the record breaking points scored but have an Old Boy Robbo network of ex players for defence who played under the old rules. Therein in the prob and I highlight the old boy network being a detriment.

We're yet to master the art of defending B2B, late-set 6 against and us. Apparently once fatigue sets in, it becomes very difficult to defend. Particularly during the last ~10-20 mins when the floodgates open up.

New exciting young blood will be offset by someone who:s been there too long, has no fresh Ideas & is way behind Bellamy & Cleary in the coaching pecking order.

We rarely win the contact against Penrith or the Storm like you say. This is where stats lie with certain players. Now let me once again start on my mate Nat Butcher. People quote how many tackles he makes and very few missed tackles. The bloke dead set nearly gets dominated in every tackle he makes. Rarely does he stop their progression or have any physicality in his tackles. He also seems to have no idea of the wrestle required to slow down the opposition, actually, most of our players don't. We have players like him,Sitili,Whyte and even Spencer (small for a prop) Watson (granted not a 9) who just allow Penrith and Storm to roll through us so easily. Throw in a 6,7 & a centre who are very very poor defensively and that shows why we let in 78 POINTS in 2 finals games against the best teams. We are a mile of those 2 and the gap is getting bigger. Only the delusional believe we aren't that far away

Melbourne are absolute specials next season. They lose nobody while Penrith lose a few again. I reckon Melbourne go back-to-back.

We will slip, Bulldogs will rise and South’s will too.

Next year’s top 4 will be Storm, Panthers, Bulldogs and Sharks.

Roosters coach finished third, despite "circus music and streamers" refereeing, not the "rose coloured glasses" refereeing of "teachers pet" teams.

With one of the coaches who finished 4th to 17th?
