Surely David Fifita wasn’t our only option for next year, with money to spend I can’t understand why we have no urgency in signing any players.

Apparently Uncle Nick mentioned last week that we won’t be making any major signings for next year.

It just makes no sense, especially when everyone can see that we will possibly struggle to make the 8 after losing so many stars..

It’s a good thing for Robbo, after losing so much talent he will have no pressure to perform with a gun side like previous years..

Maybe that’s part of the thinking..

Loved SST when he was with us but surely he's not worth 500k these days. From memory he became a bit injury prone in his last year with us?

          You've got to be joking, he's a 2nd grader.

New exciting young blood will be offset by someone who:s been there too long, has no fresh Ideas & is way behind Bellamy & Cleary in the coaching pecking order.

            Like who?

How would you feel if say Souths were trying to get one of our best players to break his contract to go there.
Its a sh!t go trying to get the best player from another team to break his contract.

Do they loose talent and or experience

Be hard pressed to get another NRL season out of JWH and Keary

Suaalii , Manu and Sitili - had their many critics on here - a number not fussed about their departure.

JWH Replacements - Va'a Brothers and more game time for May/Whyte and Leniu

                Keary - Sandon Smith

                Suaalii/Manu - Billy Smith / Toia / Young / Nawaqanitawase

                Sitili - Wong / Steep/ Egan Butcher

Next year’s top 4 will be Storm, Panthers, Bulldogs and Sharks.

No players are really available right now except older players who would fill a role for a season or less. The only player that looks like he might become available and would be an upgrade on what we already have is Addo-Carr but I don't see that one happening especially with Toops being a club legend who hasn't exactly done anything wrong to lose his spot.

I might be biased but I think we'll crack the 8 next year, we still have a lot of world class players and our roster is still a top 8 roster, the only concerning thing is how we start the year as a Round 1 spine of Teddy, S. Smith, Townsend and Watson isn't particularly exciting. Tedesco, S. Smith, Walker and B. Smith looks a lot better though...

If Melbourne were losing 5 players of the value we are losing & replacing them with the players you have named they would still be a top 3 side.

                        TAB 2025 BETTING MARKET

                        $4 Melbourne
                        $4.50 Penrith
                        $11 Bulldogs
                        $12 Roosters
                        $13 Cronulla, Cowboys
                        $15 Manly
                        $17 Brisbane
                        $21 Souths
                        $26 Newcastle, Warriors
$34 Canberra, Dolphins, Gold Coast, Parramatta, St George Illawarra
                        $41 Wests Tigers

Imo Tigers wont be spooners, Dogs will go good maybe top 5, Parra should be better and Chookies at least can hide in the shadows and surprise with a better finals campaign.

Still think we'll have some new blood from other clubs.....maybe 2. Mongrel in the forwards is something we are gonna need to rev up the chaps......just saying.

This is one kid that is quick, can catch, kick and is strong.

Really looking forward to him being an important part of the side.

                              Replace Roosters coach?
With one of the coaches who finished 4th to 17th?
Kevvie and JD are looking for a job.

If you think the Storm will miss the 8 next year then you are kidding yourself.
