Penrith do have a strong focus on the women's game. They have under-16's development squads plus teams in the under-17's Lisa Fiaola and under-19's Tarsha Gale Cup junior rep comps and will also be entering a team in the Harvey Norman Women's Premiership in 2025. Part of the criteria to be an applicant for admission to the NRLW comp is a female pathway to the NRLW program.
Melbourne Storm are behind the others in just starting their female development program but have an intention to have an NRLW side in the future—be also entering teams in the Women's Junior Rep comps.
Penrith, Manly, and Souths will be strong candidates for admission to the NRLW comp when the next expansion occurs.

Ben hunt is free to talk to rivals
im hoping we have a red hot crack at him for 1-2 seasons
fills the senior leadership void
fill in for walker and b smith while out and Potentially goes into 6 once walker and smith back for the season

Regarding the "great" Raiders side. I can still remember Laurie Daley being interviewed at full-time in their Grand Final win and admitting Raiders were 30% over the salary cap.
I find that hard to believe.

It was later discovered than quite a few of the Dragons players never resided at these addresses or lived in the Dragons area the whole time they played for the Dragons during that period.
I doubt they would have been the only club doing that.
My junior team Burwood United who were the premiers had players coming from Grandville, Drummoyne & Leichhardt because they wanted to play for the best team.

I wasn’t interested in hunt but given that smith and walkers injuries I think it’s a smart signing… have him play with sandon in the halves until Walker is back then maybe have him share the hooker role with smith and slide Watson into lock? Brandon can come off the bench for more of an impact role which I think suits him while hunt is the starting 9My Roosters Channel - youtube.com/IRoostermanI

I won’t be surprised at all to see in the next 24 to 48 hours chooks making the hunt signing
they may not but with chooks a greater chance of a premiership then the qld sides and no walker and b smith for half a year and plenty of cash if be very surprised if we don’t have a crack

So the 11 straight premierships by a financial powerhouse of St George leagues club.
There was too much money involving many parties of interest until they were halted by the unlimited tackle. The poker machine era. St George won its 1st of 11 in ‘56 the introduction of poker machines. Then it was Souffs era of poker machines briefly at the club but its financial arm of Souths juniors - who had a run for 8years until the crime into clubs investigation in 74.
The Roosters a financial powerhouse but thru other means not benefitting the masses as in St George’s day. For young fans St George’s club the Taj Mahal nickname given was Vegas like in Kograh!
So after winning back to back rules changes implemented including back to 1 ref wherein the NRL isn’t involved with the clubs business interests to further profit - explains a further reason for the anti roosters media coverage.
Pedriff admirable 4 wins which the NRL will be happy it continues due to the cultural change in the game and it’s fan base and this market historically never been part of the game. The large catchment area is not only Pedriff catchment but it’s the NRLs
BullScum - the reason Gould there is to repeat what was done at Penriff and likely paid by both organisations - the club and NRL The Bullscum drawing from the same pool a similar pool close by or same catchment as it’s documented /considered geographically the same as PedRiff.Last edited by bondi paul; 10-16-2024, 04:40 PM.
