All the better 5/8ths are locked up. The next one available is Lachlan Galvin for 2027. Maybe some shenanigans to get him to leave a year earlier.

With Manu possibly back mid-year and Marky Mark showing potential, I don't think we need a centre.

We need a replacement for Tupou. Hopefully Billy Smith can stay fit and move to the wing which would be less demanding on his body.

No other team will pay big money for Cheese so I have a feeling he will take a big pay cut and stay.

We need the footy gods to give us a break with injuries in September.

Manu should be back mid year but I think he has lost his mojo and will command good money.
I have high expectations on Marky. Don't let me down bro. Hopefully Billy plays injury free for the year. Add Toia to the mix and I think the centre combo is a good one.

      I think Cheese will stay.

Wong and Ebutch to have break out years. Vaa to be rookie of the year.

Whyte to go back to tackling school in the off season. Lindsay to go to dog school and get some mongrel back in him or grow back your mullet ffs.

We just need to hang in there until about July.

Only decent players available that suit our requirements are maybe Staggs (please not Cobbo) if the above don't come good and maybe Dylan Brown but I'd love it if Sandon kills it at 5/8 alongside Walker.
No to Verrills, no to RCG (FFS really?) and no to NAS.

The NRL really need to introduce a trade period; mid year and after the GF. Works well in other sports.

The gods have answered. We need a bulk buy of these. It is an air bag for the knee that activates when the knee extends beyond its normal range.

I think Boyd Cordner as one of the assistant coaches has the role of defence coach

Centres - Tommy Talau, Albert Hopoate*, Zac Laybutt

I really like the Couchman brothers, I think they will end up being very good players in the future. They remind me a bit of Cords with their attention to detail and work ethic

                        me Sandon Smith.
Sandon Smith will do a good job if given the role of the goal kicker plus "Pete" Townsend can kick as can Tyler Moriarty.

Sam Walker's goal kicking has gone from average to top notch - Practice Practice Practice and more practice until you get it right as my old Junior Coach would often say.

Youth for me has always been the backbone of building a successful club. While in the past we have gone and bought big names I.e Cronk, SBW, they’ve been more the final piece in the puzzle.

Signing a back when we have good depth and don’t know how good Toia and Mark will be, or backrowers when we need to see how good Steep and Wong and co can be is going to be detrimental to the club long term. While I do highly rate Staggs, let’s see how our centres compare for next yearand if they don’t hold up I’d prefer Cobbo, though I don’t think he’d leave Brisbane. Someone I really don’t want to see pull on the RWB is RCG.

The two players I would target that wouldn’t impact negatively any young players would be Jayden Brailey if we’re looking for a short term solution at hooker. Good service, good defender, injury prone. My ideal signing would be Wishart to be our next long term hooker. Ik some on here as well as Flanagan at the Dargons view him as a possible half prospect as that’s where he played majority this year, but for me his best position is hooker.

With all that said about youth, should Leo Thompson become available I would absolutely have him any day of the week

Couldn't agree more, he would be a brilliant signing!!!!

I didn't know that Sam Walker was an NRL player when he came to the Roosters.

Quite obviously he is being developed - Cooper Cronk works with the halves a couple of days a week.

The 2 top teams in the NRL develop their players or buy players that are not big names so I think the Roosters need to do the same.
The Roosters have also developed a lot of players but if it was possible I would like to see the Chooks buy Wishart & also who ever is the grubbiest forward in the game.
