I was on the sack Robbie train for years.
Then he won two comps and made me eat sh1t
I was also in the sack Politis train, but that was just a little bit of fun
A very wise and generous benefactor to the roosters once told me
No Nick
No roosters
I understood
One thing about Nick, he is no fool.
We are who we are because of him
Gone are the days of 4000 home crowds.
We were almost merged during super league.
All but for the will of that bloke.
If he thinks Robbo is done , then he is done.
I suspect that he thinks that Robbie tenure isn’t overbarbarian ......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!

Did it work out for the better when we went for Ricky Stuart over G Murray? Resounding YES, most would agree.
Did it work out for the better when we went for Trobbo over Brian Smith? Resounding YES, most would agree;
I could go on...but long story short
Nobody on this forum suggested Robinson as a replacement for B.Smith.....so should we still have Smith here? Point is, fans picking the perfect replacement is irrelevant.
Some options to consider, some maybe better...some not:
Holbrook
B Slater
Paul Wellens (St Helens coach) who has ideas how to beat penriff and succeeded (see WCC)
Walker brothers
Dean Pay? If available
Brett Morris (maybe ready for 2026)?
Or even a current coach (assuming they can get out of contract) that i rate like:
Fitzy
Todd Payten
But let's leave Trobbo there until most of 2025 plays out...so the decision will be much easier then. I'm getting something between a bronco's fall like vibe and a 2016 like vibe for next yr...maybe 13th place?? The axe will fall then IMO.

IMO, the gap between 2nd best and 3rd best is massive.
Less penalties conceded, consistently higher set completions and improved defence, might bridge the gap.

Nicho? Don’t think he’s anyone’s saviour. Trindall is now running the show at the Sharks.
Say what you like about Penrith, our team was MUCH more entertaining to watch than them. In fact, this Penrith team is one of the most boring teams ever to win a premiership!
Maybe the solution for us is to become boring and win more games.
Yes, we need a bigger team.
Panthers lock Yeo, ...big, strong, tough, experienced.
Same for Cleary...big boot as well.

If you get sucked in 2 the Riffs game plan then so be it,Suffer the consequences.
The riff had no game plan in attack .. well not really.
Their game plan was simple everyone runs up the middle including Riffs halves .. a few bombs here and there.
They tired the melbs pack out .It was quite simple.
If they tried playing a speed game and there were 10m ..then everything chnges.
As the great Bansai said while sharing a joint with Cheech and Chong .It was a masterclass coaching effort. Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

Nobody else has mentioned it so I will.
The NRL has decided to ignore Munster's "alleged" biting of a player in the GF.
What kind of monkey business are the NRL up to with these double standards?
Had to laugh at commentators saying, "if it's true, then it's completely out of character for Munster". As we all know, it's completely in character !

I bag out Robbo. I'm guilty. It is obvious SOMETHING(S) has/have to change.
I just can't get over this PATHETIC record we have against the top 2 teams. Our semi final campaign was diabolical. Holy s$%t our defense was horrific. As a supporter, is there anything worse then seeing your team get belted.
I thought, Keary, Manu, Jared, Sitilli and to a lesser extent big Joe were all " brothers " ?? - weren't they playing for something ? didn't look like it.
I guess as tragic supporters, we just have to wait and see what unfolds next year.
GO ROOSTERS always.
