And they're happy even though he cannot (or will not) tackle? That's ok I suppose, they'll organise someone else to do the work.

With walker re signing and Teddy announced soon for an extension we have made all the necessary signings we had to that are off contract for 2025
only ones left for 2025 are tbc
all the big ones and in form ones are through so we have some room to wait on the others
brendon smith who I think we will wait and see his form once he comes back from his acl
Egan butch which I wouldn’t be surprised if he takes another clubs offer for more game time / or we don’t offer another one
toia and moriaty - think toia will be a definite providing he stays on the field - only think will be how much

Great to hear that this has been sorted. Now we need a 5/8 with a big boot.

What Sam or anyone else is paid is of no interest to me. The playground politics of the NRL and media is pathetic.

Interesting to see how this works out as clubs are required to spend a minimum of 97.5% of their salary cap each season

                2025

                Mam's wage increases from 250k to 800 k
Walsh's wage increases from 425k to 1.25 mill

                Already paying in 2025

                Hass - 1.2 mill
                Reynolds - 800k
                Carrigan - 800 k
                Staggs - 800k
                Cobbo 700k

                That's roughly 6.350 mill on 7 players

Salary cap 11.4 mill in 2025.

                4.050 mill left

4.050 divided by 23 - 176k or so per player - obviously paying other regular 17 players more than that

Either have TPA's to prop up the rosters or will have 5 or possibly more players on min contracts - 135k in 2025.

Would not be surprised if the Bronco's allow a few players permission to negotiate with other clubs - Can't see them resigning both Staggs and Cobbo past 2025 who are able to negotiate with other clubs from November 1

The highest paid player per hour this year (by time on the field, metres made, tackles made or any criteria really) by a country mile is Spencer. And he can't even blame injuries. Great buy. Poor Wong sitting on the sidelines because of this guy. Alas, it was always gonna be.

No way he is worth more than Cleary who has won 4 comps

Right so unless you've won 4 comps you can't request a salary that's comparable with a guy who's never tested himself in the open market.

IMO Walker's still being signed on potential. However most pundits would agree that he's one of the most valuable halves out there.

Your alternatives are what... DCE, Hunt, Hughes, Munster... who else? I dunno if there's THAT many halves out there and most are already spoken for.

Wong isn’t a prop. Regardless of Leniu’s form (he was good for most of his year. Also suspended for 8 games) Wong wasn’t kept out of the side by him.

Agree Bob however there are clubs desperate for a playmaker that would pay overs for Sammy.

Good news, as others have said there isn't much going on in the halves market next year and Walker was the youngest player by a fair distance so could've lead to a bidding war. We do need to find the man that will pair with him as that is vital, I don't think it is Sandon but time will tell.

I'm surprised that Sam and his manager have agreed to this before November 1.
                              I'm not.
It's his current worth, and is guaranteed money.
And he's extending with a great club.

Wong Played 8 games as a prop in NSW Cup - So not sure if they are leaning that way and or turning him into a utility forward - second row / front row and possibly lock as well.
