The storms back up fullback.I would make him a priority signing.Has instructed his manager to shop him around especially if Pappy re signs.
Great player.Get him at all costs ..go the Sombrero.

He is exactly what the modern day fullback is all about. A style of play Teddy pioneered but is being mastered by the newbies coming through.

In saying that, we still have in our side the best fullback in the world who just came runner up to the Dally M winner. How much longer we get out of him is unknown but right now, there would be no reason to replace him.

The thing is the bloke would want to be a starter & unless Teddy is injured he won’t be a starter.
He would have to gamble on Teddy getting injured to be picked in FG like he has to gamble on Papps getting injured.
If you had to choose between staying at a club that will definitely finish top 2 or coming to a club that is in a rebuild & you are no certainty of being a starter I think you would stay at Melbourne.

Issue is he’s a specialist fullback. Maybe could convert him into a 6

He's a gun and would look fantastic in red, white and blue.

Apparently Jason Ryles wants Paps at the Eels.

I’m sure he’d want the entire Melbourne spine. I think Paps is from the area but who knows if he’d want to play for that club. Would have to be a pretty good offer.

So far Faalogo has looked good playing behind the minor premiers. He won't get the same attacking opportunities in the next few years with us and he would have to do a lot more defence. I dont think he could handle the pressure behind us like Teddy can

Rex Bassingthwaite progresses from Harold Matts to SG Ball next year, everything I’ve seen from him has been super impressive and he’s highly regarded by many. I think the Tedesco succession planning is already in place.

What position does Sik'em Rex play?
                      Is he a CC junior?

He’s naturally a fullback, played a bit off wing in Union rep teams and some centre in league mainly because he’s been playing up an age group or two at times.

                        He’s from Dubbo.

He scored a try 2 days ago in the Aus Under 18’s win over the All Blacks (he played fullback).

This from the SMH: “RA will now face a nervous wait on the future decisions of Penrith junior Heinz Lemoto, who starred at No.8 for Australia in New Zealand, and his teammate, fullback Rex Bassingthwaighte, who has played for the Roosters.”

I have been told he’ll be part of the SG Ball set up next year. Will be stiff competition to keep him beyond that as there are other NRL clubs interested in him along with Aus Rugby but he’s definitely one to keep an eye out for next year in SG Ball.

Rex’s try from 2 days ago at 20:10 min mark of the video if anyone was curious https://m.youtube.com/watch?time_con...OTExNywyODY2Ng
