IF Parra are paying a heap of coin ten I'd take him as a 5/8 partner......just my 2 cents.

I can't imagine Parra would be able to sign Papenhuyzen even if they free up the cash with Gutho's possible departure. Storm is offering 1 mill a season; Papenhuyzen TPA's are close to $500k a year and rising.

How do you know about Papenhuyzena contract & that he has 500k TPA?

Papenhuyzen has TPA deals with Adidas, F45, watch brand Tissot, DoorDash, Volkswagen and Greyhound Racing NSW - On 800k and contract expires in 2025 - Storm have reportedly tabled a 3 year 3 million dollar extension

                Righteo thanks King.
Just wondering how you know that?
Do any of the Roosters players have TPA’s?

The Roosters are one of the lowest for TPA's in front of only Raiders/Titans/Warriors - Brisbane the most - Storm then Panthers

James Tedesco had a TPA with Nike ( not sure if he still has) one with Swysh and was being paid by the NRL for promotional work - NRL Premiership , SOO and Kangaroos. I recall him being in some TV commercial - can't remember who for - A food home delivery service ?

When you see those sportbet commercials with players names on the mobile phone they get paid for that - not sure how much.

At $450k he’d make a fine centre compared to the reserve grade trash who are going to be lining up for us there next year.

would also be great to have his work ethic rub off on the rest of the squad. With JWH gone we are in desperate need of a leader at training

He's definitely versatile. If injured, maybe he'd be keen on that sorta gig?

Wouldn't say no at the right price.

Work ethic he is an a grade flog who loves himself and calls himself the king! When his teammates make a mistake he comes in and sprays them from the back despite missing a tackle himself always looks to blame a player near him
he has done nothing in his career and never will
after watching gutho get schooled in origin against a 2nd rower in Capewell if much rather have Marky N, toia and b smith fighting for positions instead of gutho

As I mentioned on another thread his TPA's include Adidas, F45, watch brand Tissot, DoorDash, Volkswagen and Greyhound Racing NSW to name a few

NRL’s first $2m man: Priceless Papenhuyzen ‘most marketable in game

Ryan Papenhuyzen’s growing number of off-field endorsement deals have him on track to become the first NRL player to earn $2 million a year as the most marketable player in the game, according to Melbourne Storm chairman and successful businessman Matt Tripp.

By taking a little less pay to remain with the Storm, Papenhuyzen’s on-field success is helping deliver the financial results off it, with his third-party agreements surging towards $500,000 annually.

There is no limit on what NRL players can earn in off-field endorsements that are not arranged by clubs. Surprisingly, there are no hair product sponsors, despite Papenhuyzen owning - and refusing to cut - the game’s most recognisable blond mullet.

Tripp said the “sky was the limit” when it comes to Papenhuyzen’s off-field earnings, and his appeal was so great, he had even surpassed Storm legends Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk and Billy Slater when it came to being the all-round package. Tripp is a major player in the corporate world, building Sportsbet into the country’s second largest bookmaker, before launching and selling BetEasy, and he’s now set to launch an online betting agency in partnership with News Corp.

For me I think Gutho is one of the most overrated players in the comp alongside Hynes. Definitely wouldn't take him at fullback, maybe centre for a year if absolutely desperate but I don't see him excelling there. I think he'd go alright in Super League tbh.
