Pay Toops more, he's always been underpaid IMO.
Hope we're going to buy him a $2m home when he retires, to make up for the underpayment.

They have others who played junior reps, including for NSW and QLD in junior reps. Junior Kiwis and even an Olympian in their current squad.

It's not a case of them signing players from a country group league or park footy and turning them into a NRL player, as the "experts" lead you to believe.

Majority of the Penrith Squads have come through their pathways - only 6 this year were not Penrith grown - Schneider/Peachey/Alamoti/Garner/Eisenhuth/Sorensen
Every other club has junior Kangaroos & junior NSW, Qld, & Kiwi players as well but its one thing being a junior rep payer & becoming a Superstar of the game & no one does it better than Melbourne.
Like I said they turn young rep or not rep guys or average players from other clubs into Superstars they dont buy established Superstars from other clubs.

Amazing how we are loosing 5 players but still don’t need to necessarily sign a lot! We had a great 22 squad this year hence with so many leaving we still have plenty of first graders and virtually a good 17 allready
we have signed Marky N as well
I can see us maybe making 1 signing next year like a Ben hunt or if not 1-2 solid reserves
but we need to focus on our youth who I think will take a few top 30 spots next year
guys like tait, foley, rodwell, Elliott, Vaa bros, steep and Elliot all coming through

              6. Lachlan Galvin
              9.Reece Robson

the 2 signings i would go hard for.

send Brandon Smith packing & keep Watson as our Lock/utility

I find it strange that there is no confirmed info on Hugo Savala. He is not listed on the Titans gains or Roosters losses for 2025.

Would be great if he stayed. He'd have to be a chance to play firsts in 2025.

I would like to see the Central Coast have their own SG Ball and Tarsha Gale Cup under 19 sides as well and expand the opportunities and not decrease them

Central Coast currently have under 16's Andrew Johns Cup / Under 17's Harold Mathews Cup and Under 17's Lisa Fiaola Cup / Under 18's Laurie Daley Cup junior rep sides

Sydney Roosters currently have Under 17's Harold Mathews Cup and Under 17's Lisa Fiaola Cup / Under 19's SG Ball and Under 19's Tarsha Gale Cup junior rep sides

Senior Reps - Sydney Roosters Jersey Flegg / NSW Cup / NRL - Central Coast NSW Women's Premiership / Sydney Roosters NRLW

The bulk of your squad needs to come from your pathways with strategic purchases of players only when and if required. - The Roosters need to continue being a development club as the days of being a recruitment club should be long gone.
The club also has a relationship with Ipswich Juniors. There was an article the other day on the top 50 young school boy players and a few on the list from the switch had been signed by Easts. That is consistent with what other posters had said.

The Rooster for a while now have been getting young boys 14 to 17 from all over the place & bringing them in to the Roosters pathways plus the Roosters have also taken over the Central Coast & started pathways for those young players.
It may be looking all doom & gloom next year & the Chooks may take a hit over the next couple of years but I believe through Robbo' philosophy that the Roosters are going to start producing a lot more players through their pathways & stop buying established first graders from other clubs.
Im also concerned that we havnt bought anyone to replace the 5 big guns that we have lost but on the other hand Im really looking forward to seeing how things pan out next year with a bunch of young blokes.
Are we going to win the comp next year? No
Did anyone think Penrith would win 4 comps 10 years ago when Gus said he had a 5 year plan? No
The pool of players is shrinking so to survive long term the model has to change & the model of buying players is not sustainable.
Penrith & Melbourne produce all their superstars & they then buy 2 or 3 average players who in their systems play above their ability.
I agree. The fact is that the squad for all their talent had not laid a glove on Penrith or the Storm for 5 years. The rebuild had to happen otherwise it’s the definition of stupidity playing out. I am really looking forward to the rebuilding of our playing list and hopefully our game style. We might not be in contention for a few years but we will be at some stage in the next 5 years.

The club also likes success and quick success. This isn't a club that likes waiting 3 years they want to be in or near the top.

I don't know about that so much. Robson you'd expect to be on 650-750k and Galvin maybe a bit less? If Brandon was let go it'd be easily doable by giving Galvin the Keary money and Robson the Smith money.

The Gold Coast Titans also have a partnership with the Ipswich Jets.

“We are also extremely appreciative of the Sydney Roosters allowing the Gold Coast to complement our current NRL partnership agreement, with the Roosters to continue their work with developing pathways, junior programs and train-and-trial opportunities.

Yes but this agreement is for the Titans to place players in the Q Cup side not junior pathways. That is the Roosters focus. Anyway all I was trying to do is support the view that we are focusing on development pathways through the Roosters, Central Coast and other partners. You could throw in the Cook Islands as well. Diversity in pathways is great.

You can also add Fiji via the Silktails , Sydney Roosters New Zealand Academy and the game development partnership with USA Rugby League ( USARL)
