In 2010 the first game of the year against Souths I thought he looked great until he was knee capped by Isacc Luke.

I also dont get why we signed Arona considering we have Cherro Symmons and Bosdan whilst we have nothing in the backline... the money could have been spent wiser.Last edited by SConcierge; 06-06-2012, 07:00 PM." A man can only walk as far as he can see"

I think he still needs to work on his strength in defence Mickey. He's a liability on the line cos he gets dominated easily. But I agree that he is still one of our best running backrowers, thought he showed good signs in the last round last season against the Storm. I don't think he would have been re-signed for 3 years if Smith didn't rate him. I remember a Smith quote saying he and Cherrington were two of the best attacking backrowers he'd ever coached. They would have been the starting second row that year had they not both been injured in consecutive games. They both tore Parra (the previous year's runners up) apart in the Gosford trial, 4 line breaks between them. It was a sight.

Why did we sign Mitchel???, his presence on field for the jets is very apparent when he comes off for a spell. Why make the investment and not use him?? Why was the money not spent on a back if he doesnt not want to play him, did we buy him for the jets??" A man can only walk as far as he can see"

didnt think kherrilah or henry were that great. symonds and leilua were an awesome combination imo - potentially a sign of our future left edge centre/backrow combo. moga looked good and is growing in confidence. Bosden is fantastic not just with his workrate and toughness but his ball skills far exceed my expectations. there is a lot of paul gallen about him imo. masoe was better but still doesnt quite seem to be involved enough imo. good to see franky kill it at the lower level - shows that his head is in a good place. mitchell was also absolutely fantastic.
i actually like arona so dont mind him in first grade but i think it was there for every one to see that its going to be hard for smith to keep overlooking mitchell, bosden, symonds especially considering they all outplayed taka imo. cherro also looked strong imo. pretty confident, was strong in contact and showed some nice touches. he is worth hanging onto especially considering the amount of time and effort we have put into him over the past few years.
Ive had a bit of a think and decided that Id like to see Moga playing right wing outside SKD and maubs when we are at full strength. imo he is a bigger body than perrett, is a better finisher and seems just as comfortable over on the right. He is also the extra big body as well as finisher that our right edge needs. Leilua at left centre then left wing I guess perrett for the time being but Id like to see Tagive play on the left wing outside leilua and guerra/symonds long-term with cordner and FPN as our locks and arona/bosden as reserves/depth.

Fred, do you think Symonds should be playing in first grade ahead of Guerra, Aubs, Cordner and Taka? Do you remember when he was last in first grade? He was only making about 6 runs a game max and not great metres. With Aubs also in the backrow i don't think we can afford that kind of a player. I know Taka doesn't make many runs but at least he comes in tight every so often and get an offload away. I think he's still a fair way down the pecking order and i don't think many would have it any other way.

Yak, firstly Mitchell should be our hooker over friend every day of the week. I don't think symonds should be in the 17 each week but he should have played more than just the 1 game this year. I thiught symonds was one of our better players in the 1 game hd did play & yet then he was dropped - typical smith lunacy. Most of our forwards have been inconsistent this year. Guerra for example has played well a couple of recent games but before that he has been disapponting this year. Frank Paul is a bludger. Mose is worse than a bludger. Arona offers no quality. Aubbo has been average this year. Yet smith likes to pick on certain players only whilst others get away with murder
