The smartest move for Maguire would be to terminate this idiot’s contract immediately. The Broncos have all the talent in the world but a culture that’s firmly in the gutter, with some at the club believing they are untouchable. These “untouchables” even managed to get one of their favourite sons sacked from his coaching gig the year after nearly winning the GF. Perfect opportunity to make an example of one of these “untouchables” and give the culture the rude shock that it needs. I hope Mam ends up working on a mine site in the middle of bum-fark nowhere for the rest of his days, well away from the NRL (and farking Thiaday can go with him).

I fail to comprehend that some Broncos supporters and or ex-players can honestly believe what they are actually saying. Its beggars' belief.

Supposedly the bloke driving the car which has been written off is suffering from anxiety and no one from the Broncos has even reached out to him. Just a thought for the club but maybe instead of gifting cars to unlicensed millionaire players go and gift this guy a car and make sure he's doing ok.

Agree 100%, great post. It also wouldn’t hurt for the broncos as a club and the players and ex players to acknowledge and show some empathy for the actual victims in this whole situation, the little girl, her mother and the driver. Comments like all I care about is Ezra right now, show a distinct lack of empathy and awareness for the big picture.

The NRL will have a new independent body from 2025 to deal with players off-field issues instead of it being dealt with internally by the NRL Integrity unit.

Obviously Mam will be stood down by the NRL until the legal matter of his guilt or otherwise is determined by the judicial system depending on what he is charged with- The Broncos and NRL will then have a big decision to make based on the courts verdict.

Of course any defence lawyer engaged will use any and all matters as mitigating factors which then is up to the courts to determine if these were a factor or not.
