  • Latrell - had he stayed..

... at centre with us would both he and the roosters have been better off ?

4 years under the bridge for both of us.

Should we have never broken up, LOL?

I suppose this question gets asked about themselves by people in relationships as well...

Would Robbo have been able to manage him better than Demetriou?

He looked like one of the best players I've ever seen when he was with us.

    Potentially yes
he is not a fullback but I rate him as the best centre in the game
his issue apart from his head has been staying on the field as well and his fitness - to many injuries and I think playing fullback hasn’t helped these
he played 96 games for us in 4 seasons so 24 a season
while for bunnies 75 in 5 years so 15 average
    between injuries and suspensions

The best thing about Fatrell leaving us is that his stupidity cost Souffs the 2021 GF. Had he been playing they probably beat the Riff.

We have been shit since he left and he’s been shit since we left. It’s been an ugly divorce.

I said when he left that he would not win another comp in his career in the NRL & that the Roosters would not win another comp whilst he's playing for another club in the NRL & I stand by that.

Both parties have suffered with his poor career move imo.

I don't think Bennett can salvage his career. He's too far gone now. Turn up, go through the motions, get paid $1 mill plus a year, navigate the odd scandal and look forward to life on the farm and getting fat.

We cut ties with Latrell in the precise moment we needed to, in hindsight its a stroke of mastery. His partnership with Souths has been a cluster ****, I think he would've had more success had he stayed but I still don't think it would've gone down to well. I think there would've been aggravation to play a key role like 5/8 and it would've all culminated in him leaving at some point anyway, we just skipped the drama..

I feel like I post this every year but he's been at Souths for 5 years now, compared to his 4yrs with us and he's some how managed to play 21 less games despite being paid twice as much.

He’s already achieved one of those goals.

I think Robbo nailed it that he wanted to play FB. Had he stayed I think he woulda been disappointed and so would we.

Souffs have let him take his career where he wanted it to go.

Unfortunately I think Manu also became bored at centre (like Latrell did). IMO it takes a special sort of person to wanna play that sorta role long-term.

Both wanted to play spine positions but Manu lacked the kicking game and ball skills for the halves... Latrell lacks the fitness/attitude for FB. Whadda you do with players who are bored of their job? Either let them earn $$$ in Japan (the gentlemanly way) or protect them while they frustratingly under-perform and play below their potential.

Wayne can definitely squeeze some more juice outta Latrell. What he needs to do is up his mileage to the kinda stuff I do on my marathon training plan though (which would melt all the weight off and give him better base fitness so that he's moving around the field quicker & more consistently). IMO all he'll do is rec everybody up for another season or two though..

Centres are getting close to the $1m mark now anyway
but it seems for Latrell and maybe even Manu now it’s the want to play 1 and be more involved getting bored at centre
still rate Latrell as the best centre in the game

interesting to see over time whether Farnworth and critchon start looking to play fullback as well

We are a good chance to win in 2020/2023/2024 with Latrell.

Steven Crichton could play anywhere. He's a naturally gifted freak!

Sounds like some voodoo/dark magic stuff has occurred for both parties because since he's departed that has what has happened and may continue to do so.

The book of feuds now has a "cursed" chapter in it as well.
