  • The jersey is full

Good job to the office staff, looks like they have filled the jersey up for this year with opel cars signing on as lower back and upper front sponsers, great effort considering at the start of the year we only had 1 jersey sponsor being steggles http://www.roosters.com.au/news-disp...ustralia/56779

When we were in Europe a few years ago, we hired an Opel Astra, great small to medium car, enough room for all our luggage & 2 kids, but I always thought it was a Holden, just under a different name over there?? Anyway welcome Opel!

Opel have been designing commondores for years. Since 1984 was when holden copied or borrowed their designs. I think the vb commondore was the first. They had a 2 door.

Just on holden , they never designed a single car here, post 62, always copied from over seas, usually copied from vauhall in the uk. Yes even the tranna was a copy of a vauxhall VIVA GT.

I THINK IT WAS THE HD HOLDEN WAS THE FIRST OF THE NON COPY OF A USA CHEV

My little Holden Barina is an Opel made car, shipped in from overseas (from either Spain or Germany apparently). Over 10 years old and still going strong with minimal problems over the years.

The club has done a fantastic job in attracting sponsorship in difficult economic times. No matter how big or small their contributions are, any sponsorship is vitally important to the future of the Chooks.

Dunno, unfortunately or fortunately, depends which way you look at it, those blokes weren't travelling with us, but I reckon it may have gone close, deceptively roomy!

Opel is a General Motors product that has built and sold in Germany for decades now, as is General Motors Holden in Australia the Vauxhall in Great Britain and probably in other countries, selling General Motor products in guise of a local product.

Fantastic news, thank you to Opel and welcome to the Roosters fold.

I see Opel also sponsor a gayFL team (not sure which because I don't pay attention to that stupid game) so this move is obviously part of a broader campaign to get their name front of mind ahead of their launch in the Australian car market.

At least we know what type of car SBW will be driving.

                            Well done Roosters.

I'm glad the team is getting corporate support but I'm not a fan of compromising league jerseys and turning them into Racing Cars.

I think there should be a rule league wide for the certain amount of sponsorship allowed on the jersey.

Maybe I am on my own with this way of thinking.

                              Welcome Opel.
