this changes our front row completely as we will now have to start Whyte or Leniu which didn’t work for Leniu
and then either have a rookie Vaa on the bench and no cover beyond that and or a potential bench of Leniu / Whyte as the only front row cover and then Nat butch, Wong or Egan as the other bench forwards
we all of a sudden look short in the front row unless we replace
Ya... in a world where we're already short of halves and backs? Sigh. I was hoping that our forwards would be our saving grace.

Part of the problem is that I can't see who we'd sign. Just seems like such a weird move.

But The Sydney Morning Herald are now reporting he has been asked by the Roosters to find a new club for 2025, with the tri-colours looking to clear salary cap space to make a full scale tilt on the transfer market for 2026 and beyond.

It's also being reported that Roosters powerbrokers don't believe May is the correct fit for the vision of the club.

Our best forward this year is not good enough?

        This is bullsh7t.

Surely this is not salary cap related . We have millions to spend with all our departures . Terrell was a shining star this year , I suspect he asked for a release and the roosters accommodated . If you don’t want to be here then you can go ! Big loss in my opinion !

Robbo sees Wong as a prop. Let may go, promote Whyte to fill May's spot. Wong steps up to FG as a prop on the bench rotation. Free up cash for Hunt to partner Townsend till walker is back ?

After every home game he would come over near the bay I'm in and play with his (relatives?) kids and take them on the field for a kick around, he seemed like a family man to me so not buying this off-field issue nonsense.

I wonder if the club go sick of him banging on about how his brothers would be a good fit

Moves like this leave us in a bad way up front with Jarred gone as well. The only thing I can think of is we’re quite happy with the Va’aa bros and they are very good. Having them and Collins and Leniu may be enough and make room in the cap to go after a big star but who? This seems to be happening on November 1st so I think we are freeing up cap.

Certainly going to be an interesting year next year. At least we won't have Premiereship pressure on us.

May posted a story on his Instagram where he had a picture of the article (where the Roosters tell him he can leave), and he added the words "Not off-field related" or some such.
I believe he has also deleted all of his Roosters posts from his account.

I reckon Gus Gould is behind it. He wants May at the Bulldogs. There could be a trade happening imo or we're freeing up more cap space for a big signing.

                              Wouldn’t it be nice.

Can anyone honestly see him leaving his old man at this point of his career though?

You don’t sack a player with the upside may has without a bloody good reason you have to trust the club with this one
