I'm proud of Aubbo for drawing a line in the sand.
So what you’re implying is he and the other boys he was with ( Spence, Whyte ) were on drugs? After it was put out by the club that it was all BS?

So why was a player of May's calibre let go? He's arguably our best Prop and still hasn't reached his full potential.

If indeed it’s true and the Club is trying to offload players for cap space, surely May remains over the Butcher. bros?!?

Hope the Club knows what they are doing..
The club is not trying to offload players for salary cap space.

He wanted more money and he got it so good on him
Has gone from earning $500k next year to 700k

            He wasn't off contract.

In fact he just signed a new deal with us! Do you think we'd let Sammy Walker leave in 5 months if he turned around and said he wants more money? I don't think so!

and then let the Vaa bros take over 2027
wong isn’t a front rower and when Lindsey and Leniu play origin who is left?
              Fair points.

If I were to try and guess what Robbo is going with here it would be that we have Lindsay and Spencer starting with a rotation of Whyte, Wong and Nat Butcher covering up front and the 13 with Egan Butcher rotating up front or in the back row with DLS Va'a next off the rank in that extended bench spot with Xavier Va'a possibly also in the extended bench and those guys likely filling in during the origin period, that's a total of 8 players that can/will rotate between about 5 spots and then eventually we will get Watson back in the 13 which also limits the rotation.

Robbo loves the Butchers and they aren't going anywhere, they are both all effort and we know that Robbo loves these type of guys they'll be a mainstay throughout 2025. I just think they've decided on Wong, Whyte and Va'a x 2 as the long term future and they want to give those more playing time especially Wong and Whyte and even though May is good they're probably factoring in age and contract length in to the decision.

Sure you could put it down to other attitude issues however that hotel room gate incident wasn’t one of them.

Was that hotel room incident a bad look for the club?

I would say “yes” because it was just another distraction that we didn’t need

Yes clearly most likely, throw Steep into the engine room, and we aren't looking too bad.

Yes hard to fathom at 25 starting to hit his career peak and only played 2 nrl seasons on a great buy by us
issues here is Spencer is not a great starter, and that leaves no full time front rower on the bench with Whyte who can play lock or edge and Wong who would be better playing in the backrow then edge
loosing $4m of the cap - not sure how we will fill it atm

IMO it's going to be particularly challenging with Cheese and Walker out. There's not a lot of quality players on the market and I almost wonder whether Robbo's 'give us all 100% or nothing' attitude is leading to burnout.

My problem with this situation is that May's been honest about footy not being the most part of his life. Is there actually a problem with this?

I can relate as 'being a lawyer' is not the most important thing in my life (as much as my employer wishes it was). I have no experience with our culture but would flag it as being a burnout risk if people are being criticised for switching off when they're not in the 'office'. Attitude / disciplinary issues... fine, sack 'em. This May style 'not 100% committed' stuff doesn't sit easy with me when the squad's low on manpower and there's few viable alternatives.

Most if not all of Terrell May's best performances for us came when he played lock and we are stacked with players who can play that position I'd bet that's another reason why he was moved on: age, he might be 25 but he's not a 25 year old who has years of experience and is building in to his prime, position where other younger players with seemingly more upside can cover 13 and other positions well, and future where he's able to negotiate with rival teams in 12 months time and is it worth putting time in to developing him over youngsters if they're not sure of his long term commitment?

Why are you singling out Terrell in this case anyway? There were 3-4 players in that room and like I’ve said both club captain and higher ups came out and put it to bed.

Was it a breaking news story? Faaaaark no, it was blown out of proportion by idiots like you on social media…

                              Come on mate.
