Nothing confirmed yet - was rumoured to have signed with the Titans which doesn't make sense as they have 100x half options

Tino is a beast but actually seems happy at the Titans and has played ripper footy for them

I like that except Tino made a pact with Fifita to stick together at the Titans. It would be very strange and ironic for him to join us given what happened with Fifita.

There isn’t a lot on the market or positions we need even for 2025 ending off contract players for 2026
unless someone breaks a contract early
fullback - pappy however Teddy will go on to 26-27 at least
wing - Mulitalo however toops and young and through to 2026 or beyond otherwise he would have been a target if toops was only to 2025
centre - staggs and cobbo but would have concerns about both of these joining the roosters
halves - brown is the only younger good half avaialable
prop - we are covered unless May goes but Pole, Moale and Thonpsons would be ones to look at
backrow - we are packed but if we looked at anyone Nikora is a gun
hooker maybe - but I bellieve it would be a money swap only but letting cheese go back to cowboys and we take Robson back to nsw?

Agree it’s not likely, however his previous contract had a get out clause around Holbrook exiting. The Mad Professor convinced him to sign a 10 year, $12m deal in 2023 which I believe has an option in his favour at the end of year 3. So the Titans got zero value out of year one of the contract because of injury but are still paying elite halfback/fullback money for him.

Between Fifita ($1m/yr) and Tino ($1.2m), they really can’t afford a great spine, which means they won’t challenge for a premiership until that’s sorted. Putting it into perspective, Tino is paid the same money as Nathan Cleary, Mitch Moses and Turbo. There are five forwards earning more than $1m/ year and the Titans have two of them (Penrith/Melb/Chooks have none).

One of the reasons Penrith have been so successful is their smart cap management; their most expensive forward was JFH on $970k, then Yeo on $850, then Martin on $750k; all of which have more runs on the board than either Tino or Fifita IMO. They were probably so quick to agree to the JFH release because he was expensive and they have cheaper options coming through.

If he wants to wear a premiership ring, he absolutely needs to move on from the Titans as soon as he can. I reckon the Titans have made a significant mistake in resigning him on such a big contract whist Fifita is there as well. It would be best for all parties for him to ask for a release and sign with us on a reduced contract where he’ll be set for life. Anyway, it works for me.

                  Well articulated.
The classless Titans need you as their CEO or CFO.

Great idea; I actually moved up to the GC two years ago. I’m not sure how I’d go with Dessie though.

Dessie and Brian Smith would be excruciatingly tough to play under.
