FPn and Anasta are shit.
Why wasnt Takairangi chosen in the squad ahead of FPN
He just came back from injury if Bwaiff is chosen at 5/8 again he should be sacked.
Why do they want him at that position when he offers nothing.
Why do you have to make so many errors.

YES we have building for the future, but Smith can't coach for shit. He simply doesn't know how to get the best out of our players
He cant build a team list e.g. FPN started instead of Aubusson, Takairangi wasn't chosen he didint drop Justin Carney until round 8 and he keeps choosing Anasta at 5/8 and put Lopini Paea atstarting prop in the 2010 grand final

Ive also never been as condemnatory as others about smith on here but I have repeatedly said that what disappoints me about smith is that it is seemingly his stubbornness that is what is preventing him from becoming the sort of coach that he should be. His staunch and arrogant will to have the team play off the cuff and not install a structure has been endemic in every single team he has coached. from tim e to time it works and from time to time it doesn't. what brian has to realise is that structure doesn't mean you have to play like every single other team in the comp. it means that your players know where to be and what to do in certain situations. ironically, if he created a structure in which all types of game scenarios had 2 or 3 options the ball player could take, you end up with enough flexibility for the team to still be creative and hard to pin down.
The squad is being let down by a few. Perrett and Braith most definitely need to go. Henry - as i suspected - is not up to first grade. Arona was particularly disappointing today which surprised me a little as he has generally been reliable. FPN was very good imo and really had a go. once more im highly disappointed with the effort of maubs. his involvement is almost non-existant for a player of his calibre. maybe the answer is to bring him closer to the action and play him as a lock. he has the toughness and defensive capacity to play tighter and it will force him to get more involved which could only be a good thing.

I always reserved judgement on smith because of 2010 and then the Carney dramas of last year which stuffed the team up. However after
Hearing the players and now watching that garbage today brian smith has to go. That team has no structure or moves when in attack and the defense is disgraceful. We could not score yet every time they had the ball near our line they scored.
We played a team with numerous players out yet couldnt even put in a decent performance. Forget about the rain, the broncos put 40 points on us.
Thats not to say the players are not too blame as well, they were terrible today. They embarrassed our club today.Last edited by ben25; 06-10-2012, 06:39 PM.

It seems a lot of you are putting the blame solely on Smith and while I agree his coaching methods leave a lot to be desired, the majority of the players he has are God awful. Let's not forget that Smith coached sides have made 5 grand finals and he didn't achieve that with dud players.Last edited by Ray Stehr; 06-10-2012, 06:54 PM.

THE WORST PART OF TODAY:
It couldn't of been a farking simpler game plan! Just let your forwards roll it forward, then force a repeat set.
THAT IS IT. NOT EXACTLY ROCKET SCIENCE BUT IT APPEARS THAT TO BRIAN SMITH IT IS.
FFS Griffin did exactly that and beat us with a bunch of nuffs.
