I hope he returns to us some time down the track. The best is yet to come.

It sounds like Roosters have lost interest after realising Suaallii had an extra 2-years' worth of player options in his favour.

Good to see a young kid do well, the hate directed towards him was over the top.

Does show where the level of athletes in Union are at the moment though that he can go straight into the Australian side and dominate whilst in the NRL he was physical and aggressive without ever being dominant.

There have been quite a few wingers that have gone on to play for the wallabies in the last 20-25years, and played well, but I can’t think of any other position that a league player has been dominant, or even successful in making the switch.

I think a lot of people think league and union are so similar, that they don’t realise it is a completely different game with completely different tactics.

an old brumbies players who used to own a few cafes would say that, if comparing league and union, you may as well compare AFL with it too, that’s how different they are.

A 12-9 game of union with only penalty goals being the scoring method, would have the league world talking of how bad a game it must have been when penalties were the only scores in the match, but union players, play for those type of games, just like a World Cup soccer final can finish 0-0, and decided by penalties.

i looked at it differently from then, and agree, whichever sport you enjoy, you enjoy it for what it is, not to compare it with other sports.

brings up an interesting topic in, what is considered to be the hardest sport to excel at in Australia? Be it team sports, individual sports like tennis, golf or Olympic events, which sport would be considered to have the best athlete/sportsperson in Australia?

SBW RL forward & had a successful transition to become a back, but Brad Thorn, is probably the best forward to transition into the union game. He's won plenty of silverware & highly regarded in NZ in the "best ever" discussions when it comes to All Black second rowers/locks... that says a lot in itself. Even the great Richie McCaw had huge praise for what Thorn gave to the All Blacks & NZ rugby union.

Thanks for bringing up Thorn, I did forget about him, and didn’t realise he was that highly regarded.

                    Good luck to him.

But the rapturous articles about his ‘basketball like passing’ is cringe.

Poor man had limited touches but that’s enough to laud him as the Second Coming.

                    Rugby is fundamentally flawed.

Too many players on the field, bewildering penalties and an imbecilic points structure that promotes penalty kicks.

And into the mix elitism and snobbery.

                    Rugby is for jerks.

MOM for 35m touches the ball 6 times one try assist..jumped to catch tge ball 3 times..
in a league game with that stat..he would get torn to shreds by any coach.
Union is a shit outdated game. Most zleaguies that went over didnt excel due to lack of interest.
