I'm against it for most of the reasons already stated, but if it means the Paul Vautin of halfbacks (Townsend) is nowhere near out FG Team then I'm all for it.

I'd guarantee you Hunt gets more captains challenges correct as he has a better view of the play.

For the record, I'm convinced it will be a good signing because of major long-term injuries to our 7 & 9, nothing to do with the so called anti-Robinson crowd you refer to.

It's also difficult for Teddy to communicate to his team mates as he's the last man. This also effects his ability to use his captains challenge effectively.

Does a great captain complain about the club he's captain of for years and years and air out the club's drama publicly every chance they get?

the players leaving - none of them shone on 2024
yes we may slip a little back from riff and storm but we were so far ahead of the rest of the comp last year

Tedesco is an average captain, with below average leadership qualities. Numerous times when the chips were down this season in big games against bigger opponents, after tries were conceded, the group would be standing behind the posts and crickets were chirping. Rarely see Tedesco try to pry out a response from that group when we are in trouble. Hunt doesn’t shut up on the field. He dictates play. Evokes responses. Which would only benefit our young crop immensely. We need a vocal leader. It hasn’t worked with Tedesco and his way. Leader as a player, sure. But not as a captain. Offer Hunt the co captaincy or give it all to Radley for I care.

As for so far ahead of the comp we didn't win a single game all year against the top 4, didn't beat the Cowboys and went 1-1 against Canterbury and Manly (regular season) that's not the record of a team that was so far ahead of everyone else in fact it's a record of pretenders. We got 24 points off teams finishing 10-17 and 8 points off teams finishing 1-9. We got almost as many points off byes this season as we did from the top 9 teams.
Now talking about next year, our team has objectively gotten significantly worse with the departures of key players while other teams like the Broncos and Cowboys have at least not gotten any worse. Dolphins and Titans remain to be seen.Last edited by SamKerrSimp; 11-13-2024, 10:48 AM.

Teddy is a great player but an average captain. He often has that WTF just happened look when his team mates are looking at him for leadership and inspiration.
You're carrying on like we're replacing him which isn't the case. Having a second captain to help Teddy can only be a positive for the team. It would also take the pressure off Teddy which is another bonus.
