I feel you though. Doesn't seem like the NRL's keen to whallop him with a big suspension, ay? He'll probably get a lesser suspension than Spencer & $100k worth of free rehab at a massage parlour of his choice in Thailand.
Meh... I can only spend so much time thinking about this flog. Nothing personal. I just think he's an immature brat who makes too many headlines for the wrong reasons.

The bottom line is Ezra Mam has committed a serious crime and needs to be dealt with accordingly by the courts as the NRL are unlikely to do the right thing. Gutless game playing wonders that they are.
Forget the fact he (Mam) has checked in to drug rehabilitation (without doubt on the advice of his lawyers - that goes without saying), that is just a smokescreen. He is unlicensed, was under the influence of drugs (proven on the secondary charge) at the time and caused serious injury to a minor, injuries to the mother and the uber driver.
If this brain-dead fool doesn’t serve jail time, then I seriously question what hope society has. Forget the fact he his indigenous or he plays Rugby League at the highest level - that is irrelevant.
If the indigenous community want to crap on about setting a good example because they are black and have been hard done by colonization then maybe they should have a good look in their own backyard and look at their own hypocrites such as precious boy Ezra, Wendell Sailor, Latrell Mitchell, Jonathan Thurston etc.… the list goes on.
Rant over (until the next time)

A little girl suffered a broken hip as a result of a privileged, arrogant NRL player driving while he was on drugs and (presumably) was without a license due to other offences. He's lucky she's not dead.
IMO the NRL should take this kinda shyte more seriously. His salary should go to the family (who have hopefully also served him notice that they'll be suing him for damaged) and he should be rubbed out of the game under a similar arrangement to Lodge.
Just saying... he's lucky we don't have US style civil courts where victims can bankrupt you with punitive damages.Last edited by ism22; 11-14-2024, 08:03 AM.
