How is the uber driver coping with his ongoing counselling? How is the daughter with the fractured hip getting along? How is the mother coping?

An $850.00 fine for driving under the influence of drugs and unlicensed? How did monkey boy even keep a straight face with the media with his contrived apology that would have no doubt been orchestrated by his lawyers. A 6-month driving suspension even though he is unlicensed. Please - give me a break.

I wonder where he is as I write this. Probably laughing it up with mascara boy thinking he got away with a big one here.

This (court decision) is as bad as I’ve ever come across but I’m not the least bit surprised. What lesson does this send? Absolutely none. Corruption is obviously rife.

What will the NRL do? I’m guessing a hell of a lot less than what Pearce and Leniu copped. Maybe he gets a one-week suspension, so he doesn’t have to front up at Allianz stadium. Would PVL and Abdo really risk a coconut/s thrown at monkey boy’s head from a great height? One can only hope.
If your comparing to Spencer's punishment for right of reply ..Ezra would be out for life for this aberration surely !

Absolutely. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I don't think Ezra should play Rugby League ever again - in any country. And I still think he should do jail time.

[Anusley]: 'SPENCER... SPENCER GET OVER HERE... 8 WEEKS BUDDY...'

[Braith's voice]: 'Hahahaha whaaat? You're off your head!!!!'

[Anusley]: 'HEY!!! Control your boys Easts, I'm not talking about Ezra here...'

[Fitzy's voice]: 'Right so if I'm struggling with the pressure of having a shyte season then I can just load up on drugs and drive around without a license, shattering kids' pelvises can I?'

Despite what anyone thinks of Ezra, this is a failure of the legal system. They have failed the true victims terribly. Of course the NRL will let him off lightly, hiding behind the old line "he has had his day in court."

What kind of message does this send to QLD drivers? Takes whatever drugs you want, its completely fine. And heck, if you want to then get behind the wheel and almost kill someone, no probs, as long as you have $850 bucks in the bank.

So did Spencer. Despite his (Spencer's) ignorance of the word 'monkey' the judiciary decided to make an example out of him. Read into that what you will.

8 weeks (a 3rd of the season) for an innocuous name call with no harm done except for Ezra 'I can dish it out (think coconut comments aimed at the Panthers players) but can't take it' crying which so obviously affected his concentration (I use the term loosely) at the Las Vegas game in the 70th minute. Obviously cost the Broncos the game. FFS.

The NRL (with their bias), in particular PVL is making my interest in Rugby League a far cry from when I used to enjoy it.

                Rant over.

Imagine this scenario in the 70's and '80's ?? There would be a blue if someone said something offensive and it would have been sorted out on the field. As it should be !

And it was. Played many (team) sports from the 70's to the 90's (cricket, football, rugby, hockey) and on field it was nothing but a bit of banter. None of this political correctness and everyone moved on very quickly. The odd fight here and there but nothing too serious.

Many of my teammates were of an indigenous background. Whether they be Greek, Italian, Lebanese, Indian etc. it didn't matter. We were all teammates and all of us looked after each other.

An NRL.player would get a bigger fine for a high tackle.

Well, not in a court of law.

interesting in the cricket yesterday, a female commentator called and Indian bowler the MVP, then she said “most valuable primate”. Very strange choice of words, she herself is an English cricketer of Indian parents.

caused an uproar on social media, she did a public apology on live tv, and she was back in the commentary box today. Not sure if cricket Australia will take the matter any further, also not sure if the Indian cricket team made an official complaint.

the difference here may be, that she apologised within 24hrs and didn’t shy away from her on air mistake.

That was a funny one, but I think humans are technically primates so it doesn't really matter...not as if she called (God forbid) a monkey.

Interesting there wasnt a fine for crossing double white line added to mams fine.
qld law soon to be passed "adult time for adult crime for kids. Also kids time for adult crimes for drongo players.

No doubt that the Judge is a lifetime member of the Broncos Pty Ltd.
