Thanks for reminding me to watch. I like Bouris' poddie. However despite the elaborate setup + celebrity guests, it only seems to get a few hundred viewers for most episodes?

Makes me curious how people make their poddies popular.

social media presence - this is literally the first i'm hearing about Bouris having his own podcast.
I've only ever listened to him as a guest on the likes of "bloke in a bar" and "bye round"

My dad was actually on Mark's podcast a couple of years ago. I might give this one a listen.
Unfortunate, but I don't think we'll see Joey back in League.

Yeah he talks as though there's unfinished business in League but IMO he's gone.

          My only thoughts are:

          - I'm a little bit indifferent to him returning as I don't think he's as much of a POD player as we were expecting. IMO we've gotten more excitement outta Young and Mark N looked promising in his single game.

          - He talks a lot about how he's driven by goals rather than the money (with one being the Lions tour and another being a home world cup). I get the feeling an NRL premiership or a proper Origin series would mean more to him long-term. Also, the money will dry up eventually, putting League in a position where it can pay more for him. Maybe when Toops retires? He talks about being a silky half/fullback but frankly I don't think he'll ever be good enough to replace Teddy. He's an athletic, physically doninant winger... maybe he'll mature... but I suspect not by playing Union.

I think there’s a chance of a return, listening when he said how the prelim loss burns, meaning he didn’t tick the box of a gf victory

If this report is true then you can forget about Suaalii returning to us. Roosters forgave him for naively allowing Moses to disrespect us the first time. Disrespecting us a second time by hiding the player option would be bridge burnt.

NRL 2024: Joseph Suaalii loan deal, Roosters negotiate with Rugby Australia, Waratahs, contract option, news, videos, highlights

RA were reportedly considering loaning the 21-year-old back to the Roosters in 2026, inbetween the 2015 British and Irish Lions tour and the 2027 Rugby World Cup.

However, the Roosters reportedly stopped their move after finding out about the two-year option in Suaalii’s favour.

Yeh I agree, I didn't think he would return but after watching that interview I think he's pretty much a certainty to return at some point.

5yr deal with Union takes him through to end of 2029 where he'll be 26. He's also allowed to exit that deal early after the Lions tour and Rugby world cup which feels like a pretty strategic play on his part as he specifically called out those two moments as the reason he went to Union.

I imagine like any person though he doesn't know how much he's going to love Union and how much he's going to miss the Roosters/League until he's actually experienced it all so would be hard for him to talk on such a topic right now.
