Still don't get the idea of it either. Watching from home (like most people), it's just a stadium. I'm also not seeing masses of people making plans to travel to Brissy for it (or masses of Brissy fans suddenly getting excited about other teams). It just seems like a commercial arrangement rather than something for the fans...

I'm not surprised we're playing the Broncos first up; precious little Ezra may only get 1 - 2 weeks suspension (if at all). Oh, but he's checked himself into rehab, so all is forgiven. Would the NRL seriously take the risk of him having a coconut thrown at this moronic fool's head at Allianz? For what it's worth, it would only knock some sense into him - good luck with that. I think he's too far gone.
And this article below (admittedly from a few years ago but still ongoing apparently) has Jonathon Thurston's name written all over it. All you have to do is read between the lines. Like precious little Ezra, Jonathon Thurston will also get his comeuppance. Karma will once again come to the fore.

Which, if you put it in context was during a game and no malice was intended. 10 minutes to go in the game and Ezra couldn't concentrate - FFS. Well - that made a difference to the game and the result. Name calling - 8 weeks. Drug driving, GBH, unlicensed surely this constitutes more? Seriously, this useless clown has to serve time if the authorities and the NRL have any integrity.

The NRL are basically giving this behaviour the green light which will one day come back to bite them. Rod for your own back.

There is some really dumb stuff in the Roosters full schedule this year
- They play the Panthers and Broncos twice within the first 7 weeks
- All 3 of their byes come within an 8 week span
- Only play 1 of the bottom 5 teams from last season twice in 2025 (the Vermin)Last edited by fletch; 11-21-2024, 11:23 AM.

A competition called the NRL and the ruling body doesn’t even schedule its competition. The trouble with the game is all decisions made are centred on click bait revenue for all partners and made to look as its decision but it’s more the case of being an announcement. That’s the biz model.

Not expecting us to win the comp next year while going through a rebuild but our rebuilds still have us finishing in the top 8, see us finishing around 5th or 6th and bowing out in week one or two depending on if we get a fair go from the officials.
That takes courage.1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.
