PB, you have done it again. Well said!

      • They way this has all gone down is quite sad. We aren't a huge club, the fans we do have are passionate; the rusted on ones that held on through some shitty seasons. We all love the club and it is okay to be angry but hurling abuse at the coach, rattling the box, throwing away memberships and arguing with each only compounds our problems and hurts the club as a whole.

Smith won't be here for ever; neither will Noyce or Politis. They may not be perfect custodians of the club right now, but they are what we've got and whether you trust them or not to do their jobs, you've just got to deal with. People need to calm down and see out the rest of the season. Things might change, they might not but I'm sure a results driven administration like ours has just as little patience as some of our fans with the on-field performance. Abusing the coach isn't going to do anything productive.

Easts have been around for 104 years and things have been worse than they are now. Some people need a little perspective.

No probs. To be brief... it was a call for ALL supporters to band together and show their frustration by not turning up ti a home game. A mass protest so to speak.

            Thats right.
A protest like that would certainly reach the ears of those concerned, and would also keep the SFS security off your back.Been there, met them...

              PTB,
Normally I agree with most of your considered thinking and good posts. To the comment in bold, I thank God we will never merge with Canterbury.

Those who accept this bullshit we are being dished up are causing more trouble than those who are actually making a stand and voicing their opinions. If nothing gets said, nothing will will be done to fix it. Those who accept the mediocracy dont deserve to celebrate in the teams success when it comes because there is no way in hell that sort of support can get the team anywhere except average. Its a competition and average (or in our case below average) is simply NOT enough.

Couldnt disagree more with the bolded text above. Thank God I dont believe the majority of supporters would endorse your comments either.

To be loyal, resilient, respectful in supporting your team in an almost unconditional way is way more helpful to the greater good and future success of the team. Ask the players and coaches what they respond more positively to? It sure isnt as you suggest.

You honestly think that verballing the coach or players will actually MAKE them perform better "or at least think about it" as some other person on here said.

I can assure they they want to perform well and win every week and having part of the club (the fans) abuse them is counter-productive in a big way. They know whats not working and are sufficiently embarrased when times are tough, without supporters advising them.

It serves no worthwhile purpose other than to satisfy the anger, irritation or embarrassment of the abuser, and a few of their sheep-like mates following in a Mccarthyism type way.

To suggest the consistently loyal and non-threatening and non-abusive fans are not deserving of celebrating the teams success is one of the most misguided assertions ive seen on here...(and there is strong competition).
CLAP CLAP CLAP, well said Jack, you are a credit to your RWB blood!
