Sounds like Smithy had too much class to engage the fools. They make me feel ashamed to be an Easts supporter.

Im glad I didnt witness this (like the weak kneed poster above) or I would have been the one in trouble with security.
What a hypocrite. Threatening violence against another supporter who dared to give the coach a mouthful.

I wasn't there to see what happened, but your post is truly pathetic.

I was just as frustrated like everyone else yesterday but to attack the coaching box and blame the coach is just really a low act....

Take your frustration outside and keep it to yourself as I really don't believe it is the Coaches fault with what the referee calls on the field. He can't nor is allow to do anything to prevent it so we should not be taking actions in our own hands by attacking innocent parties...

I still believe our season is alive and I think after yesterday and with Braiths comments it will be a focus this week on Bill Harrigans job especially with another stuff up ready to happen at Origin on Wednesday evening.

along with some woefull decisions from the refs & the behaviour of some "supporters" for the
          want of a better word.
Pounding on the coaches box achieved nothing other than to show everyone how degrading
some idiots are, it really was in the spirit of the club NOT!!!!!! if that is acceptable then we
not only have to clean up our act on the field but our supporters as well.
None of us are impressed with our game at the moment but there are far better ways of
          behaving,

I watched them go up the members stands near the end of the game - Bay 63 - which is where the steps to the coaches box is.

Right said Fred. Good to see you show a little passion.

I think that any indvidual who takes a cheap shot at one of our own officials like that is gutless, classless and most likely clueless.

I wasnt threatening violence just saying I dont know how I would have reacted to such a situation but I certainly wouldnt have been sitting back applauding the mongrels.

              Is that ok with you?

The same weather the Broncos had to contend with.

                What's the next excuse?

Sure sounded like you intend some violence.

If you did, then I suggest you go stand near the coaches box in the next home game because I think the venom from fans is building more and more against smith. I saw it happen late in the bulldogs game & it's not surprise to hear it got worse at the broncos game.

I wasn't at the broncos game but I wouldn't personally waste my time giving smith the time of day.

He may be currently one of our clubs "officials" as you put it but he will be shoved out the door very quickly soon & then he will be a distant memory. When he goes, he wont give a second thought or a damn about our club again but the fans that you want to criticise and threaten will still be there whoever they are.

And thats the sad part - we don't need people like that in our club.

Henry might make a good FG player in future, but why aren't the players with the most first grade experience being selected, so we have a better chance of winning games?

Jan, it wasn't just this game. During Monday night football against Canterbury, I was listening to Triple M and Peter Sterling had to stop the broadcast for a minute because angry Roosters fans were banging on the press box. He said "Why are they yelling at us?!" The language was so bad, even Andrew Johns was momentarily stunned. And this is coming from someone who regularly abused officials on the field. Nice work guys..devalue our club why don't you?! Some fans on here complained about Myles, Todd & Willie etc not respecting our jersey, but then the same fans go and carry on like this in public with children around, WEARING THE AFOREMENTIONED JERSEY!

I never saw it happen this badly in all my years of sitting in Bay 13. There was one loudmouth who sat a few rows behind me but he never threatened anyone, just made wise cracks all the time and kept the visiting teams amused.
