As much as we think we know RL, we just don't and have no clue about is really going on.

This is the first thing that must always be remembered.

          I agree Ms Tee.

In saying that I don't expect too much this year but I expected them to beat a depleted Broncos side. We are close to the mentally weakest club in the comp. And that falls on the coaches shoulders.

what??? a lot of us on here have played and coached rugby league. While not on an NRL stage we can still see when a side has no structure and cant defend. playing ab lib football in the rain.... the bloke in the street knows not to play that way but not our brian smith, he has nothing else.

I remember when Freddy was coach, everyone was ready to hang him when we kept loosing. At least he had no coaching experience, Smith has been doing it for years ........ and not very well.
It's time for a change, with a better coach and some direction we could be a top side as we have some talented players - not that too many will agree.
I don't blame fans for being angry and having a go at Smith.

Yeah - why wasn't he using our halfback to manage the team in that sort of weather?????

                ....oh that's right.

                Idiot!

I don't understand how the 20s can run simple block plays yet the first grade side seems to have no idea. I know it was wet today but we have two dangerous centres and the only times they see the ball is either from dummy half, first off a scrum or a ridiculous blind side raid. What the f**k are they supposed to do with that? At one point in the second half Moga was literally screaming at Anasta pointing at a giant gap in front of him. Give the kid an opportunity that's all he's asking for. First time he got the ball from a spread was on the 5th and everyone was having a scream at him. Are they kidding? Anasta couldn't have shifted out one tackle earlier instead of dropping it under to a forward to barge it up another 6 metres?

At least when Freddy was coach we put some impressive plays together. I honestly believe if he was coach next week we'd look 100% better in attack at least. Most of our players have heart but they aren't given the tools to be a successful team. We rely on offloads for our tries and once it started raining you knew all the forward dominance in the world wasn't going to win us this game.

Surely we'll go for Trent Robinson for 2013. I rate him highly, Smith is way past it. Another year of him would be worse than another year of Anasta. Oh maybe not that bad but very close.

We have one head coach and two ex-FG coaches. Maybe they're over-coached?

Unlike so many on here who have an indepth knowledge of how our club functions.

Just because some one doesnt post on here doesnt mean they know any more or any less about things. Everyone is entitled to there opinion. Theres only one person carrying on like an arsehole here at the moment.

In all my years of sitting in Bay 13 (ie. since 1988)... I have never seen anything like what I saw at the end of the game today... that is, the fans ambushing the coach, and indeed showing a complete lack of respect for the coach.

Even in 2009, the fans from the season ticket area, would NEVER, EVER, have behaved in such a way towards Freddy, for example....

While attacking the coach in such a way, in my view, is not acceptable and I would never do such a thing, I can certainly report that the mood amongst all the die-hardest of all the die-hards in Bay 13 is becoming tense...

Sitting in the centre of hard-core, long-term, Rooster-central, I can report the following three pertinent facts:

                            1. People are more sick of this rubbish being dished up, than I have ever seen or sensed in decades;
                            2. There is not much, or any, loyalty to the current coach; and
                            3. It's back to the old Ron Jones days of the 80s and early 90s, when we all go along to the game not just expecting, but KNOWING, there will be a loss and a terrible, unenthusiastic display from the playing staff of the business.

Troubling times indeed, with Wests Tigers and Manly coming up, and not long after that Cronulla down south and then the in-form souff'sy'ney with all its purchased star players.

Some of you might find the current state of affairs nothing to worry about. I personally am concerned at where this club is heading in the new, post-News era of independent commissions, expansion, and ruthless decisions needing to be made for the good of the game overall.

Do we have the right people... the young, forward-thinking, dynamic operators, running the joint and planning long-term strategies to get this club going again?

With the type of people making decisions to move the cowboys game to Darwin, the answer to your last point is NO!

Since I started supporting Eastern Sububrbs Rugby League Club, in 1908, I've never seen such a diabolical on field display by the 5 officials in any game, BAR 2010 Bennettathon, as I did yesterday. We got a call or two, going our way, whatabout the calls against us.
Matt Cecchin ,and his other cronies had it in for us from the start. I've always had an issue with refs, and I've been chastised for it, on this site and others, but as was stated in telegraph other day, we've been the most penalised team in the Rugby League.
I can't agree with ppl remonstrating with the coaching staff ,BUT, as can be seen with the bulldogs this season, you needn't have stars in your team, to make them a success, you've git to have coach who knws, and tries new things.
As far as what Harrigan says on Tuesday, it cannot give us back our points.
2012 Season is now officially over.
I will NEVER EVER STOP SUPPORTING EASTERN SUBURBS RUGBY LEAGUE FOOTBALL CLUB.
