What makes this possible? Well the structures that Bellamy has put in place are so well-instilled into the club that each and every player knows his role in the team, and knows the role of every player lining up beside him. Players slotting into the system therefore slide in with ease --- Now that is structure.

We have none of that. There are no systems in place. The fact that we try to roll out the excuse that we had no half-back therefore means diddly-squat.. and the ineptness that this side has fallen to therefore shows that Smith has absolutely no f**n idea what he is doing or coaching.
Norris you are selectively quoting. There are no excuses, we lost for the same reason we have lost in recent weeks, not just because we didn't have Pearce,

What I'm saying is the conditions meant that the seven would be critical and you can see that in what Wallace did for them - the conditions lessened the impact to the Broncos of the players they had out.

The Storm are are at a very different point as a club to where we are at - comparing us to them is a bit disingenuous.

    BTW, the Storm lost

Yesterday had nothing to do with smith & son, he's just the coach. It was the weather.

Melbourne literally did not take it out of the forwards the whole night - which was a great game plan considering the weather. Nearly every one of their forwards went over 100 (4 went over one hundred, the rest just shy - 90+). Bellamy knew that you can't beat the Tigers at the Tigers game - throwing it around. Tigpies struggle against a tight game, when the opposition concentrates on completions and early kicks - they self capitulate.

Why on earth did Smith not instruct the team to just run straight through the young broncos and just grind them out to a victory ? Given their inexperience, they would not have been able to sustain the pressure the whole game.

              Instead we have:

              - Mini touching it every single play.
              - Braith camping on the blind going down there at every opportunity
              - Sideways running all game

Broncos played a simple game, hit the ball up hard then kicked early, forced repeat sets. They came away with the biscuits.

I'm not so much comparing the teams per se, if you bothered to look deeper into what i was saying, i'm comparing the coaches. What i'm saying is Smith will never be on the sort of level Bellamy is as a club coach. Bellamy has everything planned down to a minute level and science, and that's why he can blood in youngsters who all immediately know how to play. And that's why year after year, despite losing players, the storm can compete right at the very top. We can't do that at the moment because there is no overall structure for new and upcomers to follow.....

and btw, yes i know the storm lost. I said that in my second sentence. But that was beside the point, so thanks for trying to detract from what i was saying

Patting ourselves on the back for getting rid of our "trouble-makers" and winning "seven from last nine" now seems like such a long time ago...

Who will our coach and senior players blame this time?

What gutless wonders these people must be?

Sounds like Smithy had too much class to engage the fools. They make me feel ashamed to be an Easts supporter.

Im glad I didnt witness this (like the weak kneed poster above) or I would have been the one in trouble with security.

For years we have looked down our noses at Canterbury and Souths fans and yet there are some on here congratulating each other for stooping to gutter level behaviour towards OUR OWN? Sad state of affairs..
