Weird is the right word, I have no issue of who we play twice, I just don’t get the logic behind playing them within a few weeks again.

If we are going down this road, we may as well just play those teams in back to back weeks and promote them as “revenge rounds”

Yep. It should be close to impossible for one club to play any team twice in seven weeks let alone two of the best teams in the comp.

I really don’t have a problem with that. Get the panthers out of the way early. We are going to be understrength anyway and we don’t usually fare to well against them even at full strength so doesn’t really matter. The donkeys… there’s 4 winnable points in the first 3rd of the comp.

We will be strengthened as the year goes on so all we have to do is hang in there and be competitive towards the end.

We just can’t afford to have avalanches scored against us as I think we may be competing on for and against at the pointy end.

Also dispiriting that we don’t get the Roostets down here in the ACT at all next year. There’s a huge following down here. It always gets a good crowd as well so imo, it’s an opportunity lost for the NRL and Canberra.

Fortunately the Drongos are shyte, but yes... Pamfers twice is annoying as we're unlikely to beat them and won't get to test ourselves against them as the season progresses.

'Home' game against the Dolphins in round 9 too. Lemme guess... Drongos also get an 'away' game in round 9? Sigh.

I think they are the worst rounds for this clash!
Round 1 the teams are rusty and the last round d the game can often not mean anything depending on the importance of the win. (resting players if final position sewed up etc). And if the game does mean something, then we lose players from suspension! haaaa.
Best is around round 4 then round in the middle between last origin and finals. The two point swill mean something at this stage on top of the rivalry.

Brisbane actually have a coach now. And some players with a point to prove. They will be tough games. As will Warriors and Soufffs away with a real coach too.

I would take 4-3 going into Anzac Day, maybe even 3-4 TBH, given you can pretty much bank on 2 losses to Penriff

Damn that really does suck for us fans down here, one of the raiders better drawing away games for sure.
