I think they are the worst rounds for this clash!
Round 1 the teams are rusty and the last round d the game can often not mean anything depending on the importance of the win. (resting players if final position sewed up etc). And if the game does mean something, then we lose players from suspension! haaaa.
Best is around round 4 then round in the middle between last origin and finals. The two point swill mean something at this stage on top of the rivalry.

Round one, round 4, round whatever, it’s a level
Playing field and the same for both sides.

The last round didn’t cost a team injury wise as every team has to play the final round unless you get the bye. Same thing can happen in any game. Last year, our achillies wasn’t the last round but the one against the Faiders a few weeks earlier.

The two games are spectacles and deserved of the first and last rounds every year.

And regardless how many times they beat us in the regular season, they will never forget 2019 same with my manly mates, beating them in 2013 burns them, and the salty tears will never wash the memory of us beating them away.

Disgusting draw, playing two teams twice in the first seven rounds, only 3 day games all season, no game in Canberra i love getting down there for a game but missed this seasons one . Also was hoping for a game on the Gold Coast .
Playing the Broncs and Panthers twice in first seven rounds is wrong and also only 3 afternoon games. Pffft to the NRL.

I feel the ' draw ' is the least of our problems in 2025.

It is going to be a really tough year. For example: Who will/do we have on our bench that is big, strong, crazy and could change a game in our favour ?? Can Mark N read numbers in defense ?? Our ' hooker ' is ??

I’m excited for next year. A true test of character and resilience. Will be stoked with every win and won’t go into any round expecting to lose.

We don’t have the easiest draw but let’s not make excuses before we even start. That’s waving the white flag before a shots even fired. I’m sure our players don’t believe that and go into every match thinking they can win.
