Each to their own about Moses coming on board but, I'm not so anti him coming off the bench.
He's experienced and the has the smarts needed for our now younger squad.
    Heaps better option than ZDC.

Good depth signing especially with our regular 7 and 9 out for half the season and wouldnt be on much coin either.

So need to get my head around this we are maybe without around 30% of our 1st 17 and instead of Hunt maybe we figure a 2nd rate Super League player is the answer.

Sounds lie a plan. What could go wrong ???

People at the Roosters with far more intelligence and experience than me will make the call , but , I'd go Hunt as top priority ! Moses I was never concerned about when he played against the Roosters. And I absolutely Hate good opposition players like your Cam Smith's, Munsters etc ...Mbye , yeah no worries , didn't hate him ,lol.No danger factor

Hunt wants full freight and the NRL are insisting the contract he signs wherever that may be, reflects that.
Moses would be commanding a third of that amount i reckon.

I'd rather invest the season in young spine players like Sandon and Tyler

Promote the younger guys , otherwise we risk losing them to other clubs . Moses is not the answer , he was good in his day IMO but past his best now .

                  2026 potential spine.

                  1.Teddy
                  6. Sandon Smith
                  7. Walker
                  9. Robson

Pointless signing Hunt(2025) for big money if we're fortunate enough to jag Robson(2026) who imo is the best 9 in the comp and is rock solid. Offload The Cheese and offer Robson $1.1 mill. Do what ever it takes!

With that said we may to have to suck it up next year and potentially have the worse spine in the comp until Walker and The Cheese return from injury.

                  2025 potential spine.

                  1.Teddy
                  6. Sandon Smith
                  7. Townsend
                  9. Mbye

do you really think Robson is a 1.1 m a year player? Forget the Cheese comparison we are not getting value there. Robson is Jake MKII - loved Jake but he was just a tackling machine with fair service - personally that's all i see in Robson. Be more than happy to have him on board but to have him on board as our best paid player - um no thanks that would cause our salary cap to explode with everyone expecting 1m

Why would Reece Robson leave the Cowboys?
The Cowboys are a good club & him, Drinkwater, Deardon & Jake Clifford are a great spine.

Ive met Moses Mbye & he's a lovely bloke but other than his early years at the dogs I dont think he is that good.
I actually think the Roosters will buy him.

There's some talk the Riff are looking at him because he's a utility and covers a few positions

My understanding is they've passed on Hunt and moved to snap him up.
                                Mbye lives around Maroubra too.
