The Roosters are promoting within & Tyler Moriarty who has come through the Roosters Central Coast academy is being groomed to be the long term number 9.
We fell on our feet with the Central Coast. well done by the club.

Maybe we're poaching the entire Wallabies team.

I feel like Mbye would be a good depth option that could play NSW Cup and help the youth there until inevitably we need an injury replacement and he could slip in. If the Roosters could get him for 200-250k and used him in the Jennings/Napa role that'd be okay I think.

As a first grade player on first grade money who is in the first grade side every week? Absolutely not.

If you sign a dummy half for 1.1 million what would you be signing a half back /5/8 and fullback for - be 4 to 5 million spent on 4 players - total salary cap is 11.8 mill in 2026 including 100k motor vehicle allowance ad 300k veteran and developed player allowance.

Tyler Moriarty would be on around 180k max

          Roosters 2025 spine

          Tedesco 1.1 mill
          Sandon Smith - 300k
          Walker - 500 k ( 1 mill from 2026)
          Brandon Smith - 850k

          Watson - 500k
          Townsend - 300 k

2.2 mill to 2.750 mill depending on who is playing

Brandon Smith is off contract at the end of next season. He won't be with us for 2026 if we sign Robson which means we only need to find another $250k which shouldn't be a problem.

It's also unlikely that Teddy's new deal for 2026 and beyond will be anywhere near $1.1 mill. Not with us anyway!

No way would you sign a dummy half for 1.1 million a season - that is at least 250 to 300k over the market value for the best players in that position - Other players irrespective of their position would want an increase in their pay packets as well if you're paying overs.

1.1 mill or so is half back/fullback money for the best players in those positions.

Harry Grant Storm $850k off contract end of 2026
Reece Robson Cowboys $750k off contract end of 2025

These 2 players are going to want a pay rise when their current deal expires. They're better players now than when they penned their last contract besides it's all relative. 2 or more clubs want Robson and have room in their cap then someone will pay $1m plus a season. He's worth it! Alternately buy cheap buy twice.

Cam Smith was the highest payed player in the NRL for some time and he played Hooker.

Smith was also the main goal kicker adding some dollars to his value

Smith was the best manipulator of referees and rules the games has ever seen. Worth every dollar, and car, boat……
