Anderson would do great but hes been away from coaching for a while so hes lost his touch. Stuart and Taylor are still connected in some form so sack Smith JT for rest of season and if he doesnt work out give Stuart sgo next year and attempt getting Bellamy or Griffin

No no no no no no no!

Sacking Smith now is not the answer either but when time comes for next coach I would go JT he is bound to be a long term successful FG coach so may as well be with us.

JT is familiar with the young players and had the 20's playing structured footy. Look at the broncos young team. Most were coached by griffin and the transition to first grade was smooth

Put JT in charge immediately until Bellamy becomes available

Smith and son can join the centrelink queue for all I care

MM Smith is on borrowed time look at Sticky he had to 2 years to turn it around after 3 straight GFs so I doubt Politis will cut this muppet any slack there gonskis.

If everyone jumped on board, JT could pull a Freddy 2007 with this squad IMO.

jt appears the obvious yet I have my doubts on JT as head 1st grade coach - i never have thought of him as a winner yet with our pathetic chairmans decisions on players and coaching re cruitment after sticky left leads me to believe it instilled a losing culture. politis is not the force he was nor do i think his heart is in our footy team. we have had years of knee jerk reactions
so it would not surprise me if he and the board give non winner Taylor a crack at it.our board have created our problems and with that we cant attract quality players or coaches, the signing of Elliott to be with Smith is a fine example. It's dumb and dumber, loser loser, if Taylor accepts a offer it will cruel his career. We need a established coach for our distablised club.
the losing mentality pattern is cevident since sticky left and all on the back of our pathetic board - politis has had his day in the sun and needs to retire from the football management until so nothing will change nor will Maloney be our saviour.

How is JT not a winner? He got Souffs into the finals. No small achievement.

With a spine of Talanoa, Joe Williams, Jeremy Smith and Shane Rigon - that was a SPECIAL effort to get that into 7th.

Jt was limited big match player in his day and is a limited inexperienced first grade coach, it just fact, my point ox is we need someone with experience and quality. I wish JT all the success as a coach however I don't believe he is the man for the job, if offered it will be just another politis knee jerk reaction- if he takes the job on he will be like being fed to the lions, it will cruel his whole career which I would not like to witness. if the club was stable then I would re consider but our many years of knee jerk reactions have only caused further probs, the pattern needs to be broken and that will only happen if politis steps aside.

Well firstly bondi paul JT's playing career has nothing to do with it. Most if not all of the great coaches were just average players - Gibson, Bennett, Bellamy, plenty more.
Also if Smith is allowed to see out his contract then be replaced by a current lower grade coach such as JT that would be exactly the kind if stability and long term planning the club needs, not knee jerk at all.

Really good point. Ricky is a great example of where his talent as a player hurt him as a coach - he could never understand why his halves couldn't pull off moves like he used to.

That's why we call him the halfback killer.
