I understand your point perhaps it is a good idea however what I was trying to say re JT in his playing career is that he went missing in big games/ says something about him being able to handle pressure and translate that thinking whilst a first grade coach at a club who are still trying to recover from poor decisions with high expectations could be fatal to his career, he needs to be at a place with stability whereas at the moment and for some years now easts have lacked it due to poor management

I would relieve smith of the top job now. Put JT in for the rest of the year to see what he can do. If he goes well offer him a 1 year extension but also get trent robertson back into the club as an assistant. That way it keeps the pressure on taylor To proform. After each year review the top coaching position & only offer a 2 year contract at the most. This way smith is not sacked so we dont have to pay him out, Just let him work with the younger ones to bring them through. We also need to sign some experenced players to help bring the young guys through.

A question:
Do you think if Bennett DID coached easts would we have won a premiership(s)????
Unfortunately that premiership was at Saints.

He is a Smith clone, just like Elliott is.
What is the common denominator?
I think Taylor would much better suit our team at the moment and that's what people see...
