    online Daily Tel today.
    Brent Read and Michael Carayannis.

The most intriguing came from a Sydney club who suggested that tries scored from kicks should be worth less points than tries scored through the hands.

Kicking, surely, is part of the game...as is scoring tries from grubbers, kick and chase, and what that club also mentioned was kicks to the corners for wingers to score tries, That club was against them too.
I believe tries from kicks make the game interesting/exciting.

Didn't know the Wolfman had moved into a club administrative role.

Sammy Walker has the best short kicking game in the comp and is our only capable playmaker so it definitely wasn't us.

I reckon it was Bennett. Fark Souffs

Why don’t we make a props try worth 6 points and a wingers try worth 2 points.

I vote for multi-ball, once the defensive side have given away more than 2 set restarts on their goal line the attacking side get a second ball to attack with, more than 3 and a 3rd ball ins introduced etc etc.

The broadcasters will need to work out multiple split screen feeds for that to work; might need a bigger telly!

I’m sick of them changing rules just for the sake of changing them.
There is no need to make changes every year, it seems it’s just to justify some high paid committee existence.

                    I don’t like this idea.

How about if kick is from nominated kicker: 2 points / Not nominated kicker 3 points. But if there are 3 passes before the kick and someone other than a winger scores 4 points.

Also if a half back tackles a prop the attacking team has a 5 tackle set

I'd support it. My premise is to have the rules/officiating reward skill. Yes, kick tries also involve skill but some element of luck. Harder to score through keeping the ball in hand.

                          No way I'd support it.
                          It would disadvantage us.
Teams that get 6 agains a plenty don't need to score from kicks.

Silly idea/concept. The 7 tackle restart has already drastically deterred teams from trying to execute tries from kicks so I'm not even sure why this is being entertained. If you have the courage and skillset to execute a try from a kick you deserve full points.

Also, as others have mentioned, this would affect us directly with Sammy. I don't think it's unreasonable to knock a $100-200K off his contract if this would eventuate. He is a small body and defensively struggles, but we are willing to cop that to a degree because we know his short kicking game is elite and fetches us extra tries to combat it. This rule change would potentially through our salary cap out.

What a rubbish proposal. The chip and chase by Mortimer and Blake are still used as highlights to promote league, and they went to dininish their value?
