I favour both teams having a footy each so each team has to attack and defend at the same time.
If either team loses possession the other team receives the ball - i.e a team can have 2 footies at times
    2 refs will be required

A thought - how many rules changes have been introduced prior commencement of 2020?
How many rules introduced during the 2020 season and others ?
      The total ?
The media deals finish this season and a new one for 2025.
A clear pattern obvious to me that rule changes are mandatory due to a quota written into the contract to create entertainment and click bait tabloid revenue for its engineered tv competition. The media contract deal a deal that it keeps on giving to itself and partners whilst the NRL is just the media and betting partners lackey.
      Well said mate. Totally agree.

On James Graham's poddie, Keary was saying that everything's bigger under V'landys (i.e. bigger contracts...etc).

I'm curious whether this sentiment actually checks out. My recollection is that pre-V'landys the Fox deal was worth ~$1b and but for inflation it hasn't really increased.

Also we had that year where a CEO got jack of Fox and said 'right I'm just gonna sign a $800m deal with Ch 9 so that every game is FTA'. He was sacked right away after Murdoch wrote a piece that heckled the fact he'd paid $1b for AFL rights.

IMO the main cash cow still stands as Fox and this model hasn't changed/diversified. Maybe there's more ads from betting companies now (which are farking annoying).

I dunno!!! I just think the game itself was healthier pre-V'landys and he's getting a lot of credit for marginally bigger contracts with Fox + more toxic involvement from various bookies. Can't say I'm miss him or the bookies when they fark off.

IMO the game can exist without Fox and the bookies holding it by the balls the whole time. If the government had some spine it woulda banned the bookies from all their toxic advertising too (like it did with tobacco). It'll happen eventually and the game will need to be prepared for it...

Whilst they are at it, 1 point for a try with 1 pass, 2 points for 2 passes , 3 points with 3 passes and 4 or more passes in the movement 4 points. Bonus point for tries started on your own side of half way, tries scored in first 10 minutes bonus point and tries scored by props if they have run 20 metres or more bonus point. Wingers tries bonus point for runs of 50 metres or more.......

When do you reckon he'll farrk off? I sadly think he'll stick around.

I think financially he is riding a wave but the game itself is losing a sense of identity and is becoming more americanised by the year.

I’m getting sick of these ridiculous rule changes every year.

I don't see why tries from kicks should be worth less than any other try scored and some of the greatest tries in the modern era that dominate highlight packages for the game came off kicks I'm looking at Noafaloma v Sharks, Brett Morris v Sharks, David Mead v Sharks (pattern happening here) Michael Jennings in the 2013 grand final, Ben Barba v Newcastle (not a try imo) They've already killed off the grubber kicks with the stupid 7 tackle set, kicks are part of our game and add to the excitement if this comes in it will be another shit rule that's shitting on the game

NRL exists for the betting markets that's all that's why the boss of horse racing is running the NRL
