Manu turns 31 in June 2027. He won’t have played a game of league for two full seasons (it could be argued four seasons), has only ever filled in at fullback and isn’t proven in that position week in, week out. A bit old to be learning new tricks I think. Ponga would be a better target for fullback as he’s younger, has more talent and actually has a go.

I think we’re going to go all in on Rex.

Completely deserved. One of his best seasons last year and the consumate professional. He will never let you down.

Just needs to be careful of not overplaying his hand, particularly since we have lost a lot of experience from last season

My posting style hasn't change I've always posted in this manner it's just that I get abused by half of the forum every time I post because they're offended by a light hearted screen name I created and because I call them out for being whingers where appropriate and for example 1 see the reply to your post ChookMaster, to see what I have to deal with every time I am on here even TheGman who is an administrator and supposed to keep standards around the place joins in with these unsolicited attacks. I believe Teddy also mentioned moving into the halves for the good of the team in 2023 as well when Teddy wasn’t playing his best footy. If it was going to happen, it would have happened when Walker was dropped and Manu could have slotted straight into fullback. Moving Teddy and offering Manu fullback would have probably kept him here as well. Won’t happen in my opinion.

I've chatted to Robbo maybe last year, I said I was willing to play in the halves or five-eighth, but I don't think it's going to happen," Tedesco said. "Stats wise, I had one of my best years.



Robinson also admitted he doesn't see the need to start planning for Tedesco's eventual retirement. "I think Teddy will play for a few more years," he said. "There is no-one in their 20s (set to replace him), we've got a really young kid still at school who we think is a future in that position for us.

"We've signed him on that long-term deal, but that is four or five years away. There is no rush there with Teddy because we feel like he has more years left in him, and it would be nice to get a deal done soon to extend that."

Bit late to move Tedesco to a different position and in any case it would weaken the fullback role. Tedesco is still in the top 3 fullbacks in the NRL/RL World.

Ethan King would be a candidate to be developed into a NRL fullback as that is probably his best position - can play centre as well.

I don’t think Trent was talking about it… Tedesco said he suggested it to Robbo but doesn't think it’ll ever happen.

Similar vibes to if I asked Scarlett Johansson to spend a night with me, I’d probably tell you I don’t think it’s going to happen.
