Robson is solid but really he’s not that good. He’s no game breaker.

I mentioned ages ago we should let b smith go back to n qld and get Robson
the fact he hasn’t re signed yet is interesting
still better attacking halves but not many better defenders
would certainly take him over smith but we will be paying the same money or more for him which we should have in the kitty

Sounds like the last place he’d want to go back too.

Cowboys make bombshell announcement over Reece Robson’s future

He is off-contract at the end of 2025.

                EDITOR | DECEMBER 6, 2024 - 2:29PM

The North Queensland Cowboys have confirmed Reece Robson will depart the club at the end of the 2025 NRL season.

It has been widely reported that Robson was being pursued by the Sydney Roosters, who have cash to burn and are looking to move on New Zealand international Brandon Smith after he failed to live up to his promise thus far at Bondi.

The Roosters are yet to confirm the news, however, in a statement, the Cowboys confirmed Robson was departing to take up an opportunity with another NRL club from the start of 2026.

The New South Wales State of Origin hooker was being desperately pursued by the Cowboys, however, salary cap constraints in Townsville limited their ability to make a big money offer for the star rake.

Robson to depart Cowboys at the end of 2025

North Queensland Toyota Cowboys hooker Reece Robson has today informed the Cowboys he will depart the club following the 2025 season to take up an opportunity with another NRL club.

Robson will remain an integral part of the Cowboys squad for next season.

“We tabled our best possible offer, but unfortunately were not able to compete with the final offer Reece received,” Cowboys General Manager of Football Micheal Luck said.

“Reece now has a young family and we respect his decision."

“He will continue to be an important member of our squad for 2025 and we look forward to his contributions in his final season at the club.”

4 year deal confirmed by Chammas.

                    Woo Hoo!

NSW State of Origin hooker Reece Robson will join the Sydney Roosters on a four-year deal from 2026 after informing the North Queensland Cowboys he will depart at the end of 2025.

Robson made his NRL debut with St George Illawarra in 2018 and has been a fixture at the Cowboys since 2010, earning State of Origin selection last year and playing five matches for NSW across the past two series.

New this would happen weeks ago
                            writing was on the wall
Robson not resigned and cheese going from 2025
not the best attacking hooker but a great defender
Will be 27 when he comes to us
4 year deal shows big faith but I think he is worth it
