I am looking forward to the Va'a Brothers progress and feel both will add more value to the team than May going forward.

Those Va'a lads are young. I reckon we are going to need an old hard head in the front row for 2025 - adding to what we already have.

2025 is going to be so ' interesting '.

        GO ROOSTERS.

Yes agreed, but another old head in the engine room would help ease the Va’a boys into the season with less pressure..

I think it's fair to say that we are all looking forward to their progress, but they have both been in our system long before May was given an extension, so something changed just recently.

Just hope May didn't have to sit through one of Robinsons 1/2 hour monologues before he got to the point and other directioned him.

Poor form calling him to say he was out despite just re signing him

I kind of hope something does come out that he did something bad just to have piece of mind to why he has been shifted

but hearing players in support of him like Angus and Teddy I think think he has done anything wrong

despite the fact Collins and Leniu are only nearly double the money of May we had a bargain as well just starting to reach his potential and prime

Whatever the real reason it must have been a good one as he was our best prop this year.
No... l Jared was but it's a strange decision

players these days should just go and earn as much as they can, because a club will try to dump u whenever it is in their interest.
                    Agreed mate.

IMO it's just workplaces these days too. For me personally I've gone through a few employers that I've started off wanting to stick with for life... then you get a change of management/strategy and you're not being sacked coz you've done nothing wrong and have a solid attitude, but it's made clear to you that you're going nowhere if you stay.

It's life IMO. I've been that guy a few times... just shut your trap and focus on your work coz you've had a chat with management and you're not in their plan. If you say anything in your defence you'll get branded as a loon, so it's time to quietly start applying elsewhere, and to slip out the back when you get an offer.

In such situations management usually that if you're highly skilled and not a liability (e.g. I'm a mid-career lawyer who's articulate, well behaved and able to polish up for an interview) then you'll always be able to get a job elsewhere.

Sounds harsh but building off my last point... sometimes it's better for you to be shown the door and forced to apply elsewhere. Forces you to think what you REALLY want and dig a bit deeper. Tony Abbott copped shyte for it but I remember one of his quotes was along the lines of 'being able to find another job is better insurance than having a union + pro-worker legislation to smash your employer over the head with so that they can't sack you even though they wanna'. IMO it's harsh but it's true. This will be better for May long-term.

I really do believe in loyalty and am happy for those who can stay in one place, continuously climbing the ladder and being loved by management. However I reckon there's a solid percentage of employees who will never be in that position, so they need to be able to adapt to a change of direction/strategy. As an Easts fan, I hope Robbo's change of strategy since re-signing May was a good one!

There’s a huge part of it that I hope May kills it next year - makes the origin side and has a blunder against us just to give robbo a big f u
                      1. May is a gun and was our best front rower this year
                      2. he is scratching the surface with 1 year of full first grade
                      3. he only re signed on $450k so a bargain
                      4. younger players still have time like the Vaa boys over a season or two to develop in nsw cup before getting thrown in nrl
                      5. you need a strong squad - 22 and beyond not just a decent 17 to get you through the year
we replaced him with no one

I don't mean to be pedantic but what do you actually mean ? 'Teddy I think think he has done anything wrong

                        despite'

Gotta be the Magic Round video.

                            Nothing else makes sense.

Jared only played 15 games compared to May who played 27 and one 80 minute performance .

IMO the writing was on the wall after the Panthers and Storm games. Our forwards are not going to win us a premiership by dancing around the opposition.
