I reckon JWH's main value add was leadership. We see the boys perform on the weekend and that's all we care about. However 99% of being in a footy club likely involves training and providing 'energy' (Bouris interviewed Robbo a while back and was like 'I know you believe in energy and that sorta management theory').

Never been a pro footy player but I remember the whole 'one violent session' story that went out after we won our second final this year. To me that's the sorta energy you need and it's why some boys earn the big bucks.

S*x to say it as in the workplace I'm always the guy who backs his tech skills and effort but gets told 'you are not a leader mate'. However there's a certain energy that management want in their leadership group. Question is... do they want Cheese and May as vice captains on that ~$800k VC allowance or are there blokes who lift those around them, rather than just going hard themselves?

So we drop the whole forward pack for getting outmuscled?
perhaps a few $800k performers who dropped off and under delivered were expected to do more then a first season $200k maybe tops player should be who over delivered on value

Agree Farian. Our mecurial coach.....do as i say not as i do.
He's all about developing good young men and instilling respect and courtesy throughout the playing group.
Wishing Terrell a bumper season and them others copping flack and choking on humble pie.

I'm talking on the field performances; you don't have to write an essay to sum up the big dawgs value

Robbo's recruitment and retention since we went back to back has been diabolical.

Pretty much since O'Sullivan left we've been rudderless in that department.

May and Smith are both head scratching decisions.

And now us fans are left to ponder the future, where we supposedly have rivers of gold to spend, deficiencies in key positions, yet there's slim pickings on the market.

I'm half expecting us to get Sonny Bill back.

The truth is out. We shafted him and lost a fair bit of credibility as a club tbh. It was a shit act.

May yes, ridiculous call. Smith no, he has been a shithouse signing.

We cannot win a premiership with this current squad and there is no point wasting time and money. May is not the only one being shown the door.

I agree. Blood youngsters next season and save dollars for some big signings and a tilt at the premiership in 2026.

At full strength we will still field a decent side next year.

                            Completely agree. If anyone’s a soft $&@# it’s him.

This decision has fired up May lol. Where was this talk when he was interviewed this year. All he sooked about in interviews was that he didn't want to play and his heart was not in it. See ya later.

To claw back some credibility, is Robbo or the Club going to share our side of the story?
