Why drag it out in the press any longer. We made a decision that's all that really matters at the end of the day. The coach has come out and said that Terrell is a good guy and it wasn't behaviour based so why give it more air time. Let it die a natural death

        Yes agreed.

It is starting to get a little annoying now though lol he won’t shut up about it and is trying to drag Robbo through the mud.

It's gotta be the video where he looked like he was on something. Sniffing and rubbing his nose etc. He and Brandon Smith have been identified as the bad apples imo and we're having a clean out without publicly shaming them.

There’s a few of them in that room though and would be hugely unfair to punish some and not others.

This is the telltale signs of the shyte attitude that influenced our decision. No leadership qualities. You need them when you’re in the trenches.

May has every right to respond to a reporter and express his disappointment and disbelief with the club's decision.....the same club that only month's earlier, took interest in his capabilities and re-signed him.

Also, the way in which he described himself in the interview, shed light about his upbringing and revealed how he feels unfairly judged by some, due to his farked-up brothers, shows deep courage and character.

Each to their own but, he who has not sinned.........

I agree, if a reporter asked him about it, he has every right to respond.

the only part I found odd was where he said, because we extended him in April, we denied him a chance to field offers from better quality clubs, and when we then told him to look elsewhere, the tigers were one of few clubs who hadn’t filled their rosters, so his options were limited.

Obviously Tigers wouldn’t have been his club of choice.

I call BS. We all know that if a club wants someone they rearrange their roster. Case in point - Jock Madden being pushed out of Broncos due to Hunt.

Tigers must be thrilled about his ‘commitment’ to them.

I heard May on James Graham's podcast. He said that he got a 2-3 minute call from Robbo ~2 days away from one of his games for Samoa - he was expecting Robbo to congratulate him and wish him good luck playing for Samoa. The conversation was something like:

                        - Robbo: 'oh hey mate... just calling to let you know that we've decided to go in a different direction and no longer want you. Whadda you think?'

                        - May: 'okay that came outta nowhere but fine, I'll go find a club that wants me'

                        - Robbo: [blah blah something something]

                        - May: 'yeah I get it... I'm gonna find another club... BYE!!!'

                        - Robbo: 'Bye'

                        ---

TBH this bothers me as it says something about our culture. He played ever game this year and fans were happy with his form. Not only did he get punted, it was outta nowhere, without a farewell or anything.

I get that this allowed him to move on quickly but why the timing and lack of gratitude / context? We actively prevented the Bulldogs from signing him who woulda been a better club than the Tigpies. IDK!!! It irks me the way that this just sorta came outta nowhere and there was no attempt to farewell him or anything.

IMO fans deserve an explanation from Robbo. Maybe it'll come one day but I hope this isn't the new normal for how we treat players.

A few points here that may be relevant. I am pretty sure Robbo was pretty happy it was a short phone call, as sacking anyone is not a pleasant thing to do, and very rarely are all the reasons explained to the recipient.
This is generally to protect the recipient and the employer. I suspect his hand was forced re the timing of the call, and I suspect Robbo would have much preferred to speak to Terrell in person.
As good as Terrell was this year, the last game he started in I believe was the Melbourne game, and it was very clear, very early in that game, that up front we were getting killed by a forward pack, that we should not have been getting killed by.
He did not start any game after that, I believe.
Terrell played well most of the year, especially with the ball in hand, but defensively in particular he was an effective defender, but a very passive one, who normally gave up big post contact metres.
Obviously we also do not know about any behind the scenes issues, and there may have been none.

It’s absolute piss poor quality by the club and robbo for how it’s all gone down
the fact the player had no clue, other players had no clue and have been backing him sense he has been moved in I think this may cause real friction between robbo and other players
no players will have confidence now scared as shit to answer a phone call from robbo Incase they are about to get moved on too

May being on $200k or so wasn’t reason we lost
where were all the $800k plus performers who were the ones supposed to step up against the top sides?
