I would do exactly what the Roosters did, go on the front foot and hose down the speculation that anything illegal was occurring in that video, given nothing was ever proven or shown.

That video is a red herring and some on here getting caught up on it to explain the May exit. The majority of the players in it are still at the club, with some even getting new contracts.

I think there's more logic/traction behind the idea that he refused to go to the end of year awards or whatever it was. That seems like something he'd do and is not a good look for culture. However, is it worth getting rid of a player for, especially such an impactful one? Id say no.

Haha fair enough mate. Why do you think the others in the vid weren't punished then? As far as I know, only other player to be in the vid that is gone is Suualii and he was already off to Union before it came out.

In fact Spencer and ZDC were both in the vid and they were given upgraded / extended contracts and it could be argued they were less important to the team than May was last year.

They were very public in their desire to play together. Perhaps May told Robbo to sign his brother Tyrone or else! he would down tools or ask for a release. I see the Tigers are now considering signing Tyrone, following domestic violence charges against him being dropped. Who knows, surely there has to be something more to this.

This sounds like the most plausible reason, and if that is what it was, then we made the right call, a player shouldn’t be able to hold the club to ransom.

Maybe Terrell’s exit had something to do with Taylan not being an option to sign with the roosters .. Terrell always has stated he would like to play with his brother and guess were Taylan is going ? To the West tigers to play with Terrell . Only my thoughts

What about this theory:

Terrell knew that Taylan's wife was never going to go ahead with the DV charge against Taylan. Then Taylan would be immediately available to continue an NRL career.

Terrell gets in everyone's ear at the Roosters about wanting to play with his brother/s and wants us to sign him.

Roosters have done some dumb recruiting recently but they're not stupid!

Only thing is Mrs can't drop charges if they were done by the cops.
AFAIK if cops think an assault victim is in danger they charge for the victim.
With DV cops take it real serious.

Dunno could be wrong but my youngest sis went through it 2 years back...she didn't want the prick charged but cops charged him and put an AVO on him.
