The Sydney Roosters have today announced five exciting player updates as the Club continues to bolster its NRLW roster for the 2025 season and beyond.
On the eve of her 22nd birthday, Jasmin Strange has extended her contract through to the end of the 2026 season. The two-time Premiership winner was a key contributor in the Roosters’ 2024 title charge, with the skilful outside back featuring in every game.
Known for her versatility and athleticism, Taina Naividi has penned a contract for the 2025 season. The Fiji Women International featured in six matches throughout the Club’s 2024 NRLW season, crossing for one try.
Mia Wood, who holds the distinction of scoring a hat-trick on debut, has signed a two-year extension, keeping her at the Club until at least the end of 2026. Wood featured in nine matches throughout the 2024 season, with the expert winger crossing for five tries.
Emerging star Aliyah Nasio will also play a key role in the Club’s 2025 campaign, having exercised her option to remain with the Tricolours. The 18-year-old made her NRLW debut in the Club’s opening round match and completed her debut season with four games in the top grade.
Reflective of the rapid growth of the Club’s female Pathways Program, NRLW development player Taniesha Gray has been elevated to the Club’s Top 24 roster for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. The young second rower will be pushing for selection in the top grade after a strong 2024 season with the Central Coast Roosters in the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership.
“We’re incredibly excited about these announcements. Each of these players brings something unique to the squad, and their commitment highlights the strong culture we’re building here at the Sydney Roosters,” said Roosters NRLW Head Coach, John Strange.
“We’re confident these signings will play a key role in driving our success in the coming years,” he added.
