I do wonder where he fits into our side, you'd think that the Roosters backline would be Teddy, Tupou, Smith, Toia and Dom Young for 2025 but they also wouldn't have signed Mark N to play reserve grade. If Mark N does get the nod over Toia to play centre then we have a rookie centre with lots of praise playing reserve grade.

Unless the idea is to move Mark N to left wing once Tupou retires and 2025 is used as a year to continue developing him and using him as depth?

I think he will play right centre and Billy smith and toia will battle for left centre
we won’t have many weeks with a a full backline so who ever misses out will still play loads of first grade
if a winger goes down Marky n will most likely move out which could be a good and bad thing as he may be moved around a little

the biggest concern atm is if Teddy goes down our res fullbacks looks thin now with Manu and Joe gone

Marky has played plenty of fullback in union. I’m not suggesting that makes him next best option if Teddy is out, but he could well be in the mix.

Billy needs to string together at least 10 games straight in ressies first - people keep forgetting he missed all last season and has played like 20 games in 4 years

I would love to see On the Nose react when Robbo picks Marky on the wing and Dom Young in the centres! There was some chat when he first signed that Young wanted a crack at the centres, and Marky has a good leap on him and runs the ball back strongly - qualities of a great winger - so it could happen! Don't worry On the Nose , I'm not having a shot at you, I share your frustration with Robbo picking blokes out of position!

I was hoping that he would be asked what position he would most like to play.

Despite the lack of experience I don’t think we have a better option. Let’s hope Teddy stays healthy.

Dom Young was centre for all his early career. He had not played wing until he came to Newcastle.

Is that right? I didn't know that Waylander. My main concern with that would be he doesn't seem to read the defensive side of the game very well. His long arms and speed may get him out of trouble a lot though.
