Not sure if anyone has mentioned it already, however the former 'Tongan Mafia' member has just signed with the Parramatta Eels for the 2025 season as assistant coach.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

They'll need all the help they can.

Interesting career move from Sam and also an obscure decision by the Eels. Both the head and assistant coach played Prop which is also very interesting.

I'm waiting to see if James Maloney joins our staff at all - has moved back to Sydney after getting sacked by the Cowboys

Sam never struck me as the sharpest tool in the cliched shed.

Robbo not big on 'characters' so there's zero chance Jimmy will be on the payroll I'd say.

Despite the fact that he was a big part of the 2013 premiership.

(Jim was a Brian Smith / Peter O'Sullivan signing. Part of that elite squad Trent swanned in to.)

He was almost on the payroll last season helping with the academy - until the cowboys came in last min with a better offer

Did Maloney recently get done for DUI and is why the Cows let him go?

Sam Moa & Todd Carney remain the two players I would've love to have seen in our jersey for longer. Absolute legend, hope he kills it.

                              Carney was special!

I read somewhere that he's now the Titans junior pathways coach.
